Michael had been dealing with stress while he was at work. His boss told him that he needs to do better at his job. I knew he did, and I tried everything to make the stress go away, but it never worked. He got more stress every day and I was worried about him.

One night, Michael and I were ready to go to bed. I came out of the bathroom and he was standing in front of the bed waiting for me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just watching TV." He said.

"Standing up?"

He smiled. "Actually, I was waiting for you."

"Why?"

"Because you're beautiful. I always wait for you so I can look at you."

I giggled a little bit. He giggled back. He looked at me for a little bit, then he started breathing heavily.

"Michael, are you okay?" I asked concerned.

Then he fell to the floor. I gasped, ran to him, sat down, and held his head on my lap.

"Michael! What's happening? What's wrong?" I asked scared.

"I'm having a panic attack. I keep blacking out. Y/N, please help me. I'm scared." He said breathing heavily.

"Okay, okay. Just breathe slowly."

"I can't! I can't control my breathing!"

"Yes you can, Michael! Just breathe along with me, okay?"

I was showing him how to breathe. He eventually started breathing along with me.

"Oh, Y/N. I've been having so much stress lately. I can't stop it. My boss just keeps getting onto me. Thank you so much. You saved my life. I love you so much." He said tired.

"You're welcome. I know you've been stressed out lately. I've been trying to prevent this, but couldn't get the job done. I'm sorry. I love you, too, Michael. Come on. Let's go to bed." I said caressing the side of his face.

"I can't get up, Y/N. I'm too weak."

"Okay."

I was strong enough to carry him to bed, so I got up and picked him up and carried him to his side of the bed. I covered him up with our blanket and laid down beside him.

"Oh, Y/N. Thank you so much. I love you so much. You have no idea how much I'm thankful to have you." He said.

"You're welcome. I love you, too. Now go to sleep. You need to rest." I said.

"Yes, ma'am. I have a question."

"What?"

"Can I hold you?"

I smiled at him. "Of course."

I scooted towards him and put my head on his chest. I heard his heartbeat. It was the most beautiful sound I ever heard. He put his hand on my head and kissed my head. We both fell asleep shortly after.
