A S H T O N
Luke and Evie hand me a notebook. They both stand there staring at me with wide eyes. I raise an eyebrow but glance down at the notebook. I skim the page picking up a few lines.
They would yell they would scream they were fighting it out
Hey mum hey dad when did this end?
Shattered glass like a memory it's faded now
When did you loose your happiness?
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
Your loosing all your hope
Faded memories wash out all the seams
I'm stuck in between a nightmare and lost dreams
I hand them back the notebook. "It's good." I smile.
Evie nods and Luke grins. "So we can put it on the album?" He asks.
I nod. "Yes. You can."
Luke pulls me in for a hug and pats me on the back he pulls away. "Thanks man."
"No thank you for writing such a good song." I smile.
Luke shakes his head. "Don't thank me, thank Evie."
I glance towards Evie who's smiling at Luke. I clear my throat and she looks towards me. "Thanks." I tip my head forwards.
"Eh, it's nothing." She shrugs.
But that song was something. I want to scream out. It was amazing. It was emotional and extraordinary. It was like an insight on her life. I loved it.
