As soon as Corny, Jace and I got to school, the bell started to ring signaling we were going to be late. We all hurried different directions. I went to my locker to throw my things in there and grab my math book. Corny and I ended in making it right before the bell rang.

The good thing about that was I didn't get detention this time.

The classes went by as boring as ever, but I got through them.

"Corny, I'm starving!" I whined.

"We can go to lunch in a second. I'm just getting something from my locker."

"And what is that?"

"I can't say," he said, opening his locker.

"I'll meet you there then." I turned around and started walking away. I was so close to getting to the lunchroom when I was pulled to the side abruptly. I tripped and fell into whoever pulled me. My eyes met the eyes of Noah Park.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Um...Yeah." I took my hands out of his and felt redness creep to my cheeks.

He scratched the back of his neck. "Umm... I believe I owe you something."

I looked up at him. "Huh?"

He pulled a phone out of his back pocket and handed it to me. "I owe you this phone. You know...'Cuz I broke your other one."

I gaped at him in surprise. "T-thank you. I kind of didn't expect you to give me another one," I said.

"Haha...yeah," he said. "Don't worry about the payments and stuff. I got it."

I stared at the brand new gold iPhone 6s in my hand. "Thank you, again."

"No problem." He waved at me before walking away.

I walked to the lunchroom and ordered a big cheeseburger and large fries before going to sit by Corny. "Hey, Corny."

"Where were you?" he said.

"Oh. Remember when I told you that my phone was smashed by Noah before you came?" He nodded. "Yeah. He gave me a new phone that's ten times better than my old one. Look," I said, taking out the phone and showing him.

"Aw man. This phone is better than mine. Wanna switch?" he said hopefully.

"Sorry, no."

He crossed his arms and pouted which was actually really cute. "You're so mean to me, babe."

I giggled and pulled up the camera on my phone. While he stared at me, I took a picture of him. It honestly looked so cute, I decided to play with it a bit. I added a pink filter and tears under his eyes. After I finished, I showed him and we started laughing really hard.

"What the hell, babe!" he said after he stopped laughing.

"It's going to be your contact picture," I said, wiping the tears out of my eyes.

"Aw what? You can't let people see that!"

I smiled at him. "I don't have that many friends, so no one else will see it except for Jace."

Corny stood up and pointed at me. "You can not show that to my brother. He will never let it go. Please," he begged.

I tapped my chin and pretended to be deep in thought. "How about...No."

He glared at me. "I hate you."

I snorted. "You love me."

"You wish," he said.

Maybe.

I rolled my eyes and sat back down next to him. His hand slipped into mine as we ate in silence. I could still feel the tingles spreading through my hand and up my arm. Now that I realized I have a crush on him, the electricity felt stronger. It felt amazing.

After school, Corny and I were going to meet up at his locker which was closer to the entrance of the school. I grabbed my bag from my locker and shut it. I was walking to Corny's locker when I heard a smack. I turned the corner and saw Noah walk away from Corny.

"What happened?" I asked when I reached him.

He smiled. "Noah just invited me to his party this Saturday. He said I can bring one other person. So, would you like to be that person?"

"Umm...I-I don't know. I've never been to a party before," I said.

He threw an arm around my shoulder. "I'll stick with you the whole time, I promise."

I smiled. "Alright. I'll have to check in with my mom, though."

"Great! Oh, also, I have something for you." He dug through his backpack before pulling out a small black box. "Close your eyes."

I closed my eyes and felt something cold hit my neck. When he told me to open my eyes, I looked down and saw a beautiful, purple crystal hanging on my neck.

I gaped up at him. "How much did this cost?"

He shrugged. "Not important. Do you like it?"

"O-of course I do! Thank you," I said breathlessly. He grabbed my hand and at that moment, Jace walked up to us.

"Come on you love birds. I want some food."

"Jace, you might be fourteen, but you are pretty bossy," Corny said as we left the school.

He shrugged. "What can I say; I learned from the best."

Corny smirked. "Yes, yes you did."

"Yep. Mom is a nice lady."

Corny gaped at his little brother in shock.

As I listened to them bicker at each other, I realized how lucky I am to have them as friends. Even if Corny doesn't remember what we had back then, I wouldn't change this moment for the world.
