My mind was reeling with a couple thoughts about why I was pushing Vin away. I don't want to tell him the reason, but I feel like he deserves to know. I can't make up my mind about it right now. It's just...I don't know- Complicated.

I got my phone and headed downstairs. Even though I was pushing him away, I still had some hope that he would call me. If he doesn't, it's my fault, so I can't get disappointed.

I sat down on the couch and pulled up YouTube. Although I barely used YouTube, I wanted to see who Jace and Vin kept going on about. I looked up 'BajanCanadian Money Wars' and clicked on the one that said 'Money Wars with my little bro!' and started the video.

As I watched it, I became more interested in his videos. I watched a few of his videos before I got a call.

"Hello?" I said, not looking at the caller ID.

"Hey, babe. I'm about to fight someone behind Berry Good Smoothies. I need you to come watch," Vin said, hanging up as soon as he finished talking.

A fight?

I closed YouTube, hurried to the front door, put on my shoes, then ran outside. I locked the door after I shut it, then I grabbed Mom's car keys out of my pocket and ran to the car. See, Mom always trusted me with the keys because she always loses small things. That, and I had to go to the store today for dinner.

I pulled out of the parking spot and rushed down to the smoothie shop. I parked around the corner, locked the car, and rushed behind the shop. There I saw Vin and another person arguing over something. As I got closer, I realized it was Grey.

Grey and I had known each other for a little over a year. He used to be a senior at Great River High, which is where I met him. We were friends at first, but when he graduated, he became more rude to people. That's when I stopped being his friend.

I ran over and stood between the two. "Vin, don't fight him. It's not worth it," I said, putting my hands on his chest to push him away.

"He started it. I'm just finishing it," he said through clenched teeth.

"What are you, six? 'He started it'," Grey mocked.

Vin clenched his hands at his sides. "Oh, believe me, fighting this bitch will totally be worth it."

Grey took a step forward. "Hey, Meggie. How's life?" he said.

I ignored him while trying to calm Vin down. "You know this freak, Meg?" Vin asked.

I sighed. "Yeah, but were not friends," I said quietly.

"Were not friends? What we had in high school was legendary. You can't say were not friends after what happened," Grey said, a nasty smirk forming on his face.

Vin looked down at me. "What happened?" he demanded.

I started to feel scared of the look in both of their eyes. It wasn't plain anger; it looked murderous. "Nothing," I said.

"Something happened or else he wouldn't be saying stuff like this," Vin said. You could feel the anger coming off of him in waves.

"He just-" I started.

"We were lovers," Grey interrupted.

I shook my head vigorously. "He's lying. I've never had a boyfriend before you," I said to Vin.

"I believe you, Meg. Not this son of a bitch over here," he said, turning his attention back to Grey. "So, are we going to get this over with or what?"
