Margaret
"She's what?" Vin said, running a hand through his hair. "She can't be coming down here... How does she know I'm here?...Who told?...Dammit, Chris...Why did he tell her?... Since when?...Tell him I said fuck you...Thanks, man...Bye."
Once he hung up the phone, I stood up from my spot on the arm of the couch and walked over to Vin. I wrapped my arms around him, his tensed muscles relaxing. "What happened?" I said.
"Jealous ex. One of my ex-best friends told her I moved here and now she's on her way here," he said nonchalantly.
"Some friend he is," I said. "Do you still like her?"
He turned around to face me. Then, he cupped my face with both of his hands and gave me a quick kiss. "No. I love you and only you," he said, resting his forehead on mine. "Whatever happens, only you will be the one I love."
I pressed my lips on his for a short second. "I love you too."
"I have an idea," he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"And what is that?" I said.
He ran his hands down my sides and squeezed my waist. He kissed me again before saying, "We take it to the bedroom. Then..."
"Hm?"
"We get dressed for the date I have planned for later," he said, pulling away from me with a smirk.
My jaw dropped. "You tease," I said, crossing my arms and glaring at him.
"What can I say? I'm irresistible," he said, flexing his arms.
I rolled my eyes before turning around and walking up the stairs to my room. "I'll dress like a weirdo because you didn't tell me where we're going," I yelled before closing the door.
"You look good in anything, as I've said before!" he called back.
I rolled my eyes before going to my closet to pick an outfit. I ended up picking a black skirt that ends mid-thigh, a sleeveless pink shirt with a white collar, a black cat clutch, and a pair of white high tops. Although people say not to wear tennis shoes with a skirt, I still do it because it looks good if you put it with the right outfit.
I put it on and headed downstairs. Even though the date was set for later, I knew I was going to be too lazy to go back upstairs and change.
"Hey, Vin. I'm back," I said, walking over and sitting next to him on the couch. He gave me a once over and smiled.
"Gorgeous as always," he said, grabbing my hand. "It's only three-thirty, so we can watch a few movies."
We watched a rom-com - my choice - and Vin picked a sci-fi movie. Soon after the movies were done, he said it was time to go.
"So, where is this date taking place?" I said, buckling my seat belt.
"Were going to a restaurant, then the beach for a walk," he said. He started the car and pulled out before driving to the restaurant we were going to.
"Damn, babe. Where do you get all this money from?" I said, closing the car door. Vin locked the car doors and grabbed my hand then we walked inside.
He shrugged. "Dad's bank account," he said.
I smacked his chest. "You can't steal his money!"
"It's not like he's going to need it. He's in jail," he said. Well, we don't know that for sure, but it's highly likely.
We entered the restaurant and checked in. The server guided us to our table and took our orders before bringing the ticket to the kitchen.
"Thank you for all this," I said.
"No problem," he said, his lips curling into a smile.
"I still haven't given you anything. You've given me this necklace and this bracelet," I said. "I'm going to start thinking about a gift for you."
"No you're not."
"Yes I am."
"No you're not."
"Yes I am."
He sighed. "There really is no winning against you, huh?" he said.
I leaned over and kissed him. "Nope."
Soon after, the dinner was over and we were on our way to the beach. When we got to the beach, it was already night time.
"How long did we stay at the restaurant?" I said, grabbing his hand after we got out of the car.
"An hour or two. You really like to talk," he said.
I felt my face flush. "W-well so do you!"
"I know. It's kind of part of my personality," he said, winking at me.
I elbowed him the side. "I hate that I love you."
"Ouch, babe. That hurts a lot," he said.
"You're such a freak," I said, laughing at his expression.
"But I'm your freak." We started walking down the sea-side after that. The bright full moon was shining down on us, lighting up our path as we walked.
"Thanks for the first date. It was amazing," I said, turning to face him as we stopped.
"No problem. It's just what couples do," he joked. "But seriously. It was really no problem."
I pressed my lips onto his softly. Standing here and now with the man I love, made me realize just how lucky I am. Some people find their true love early in life, and some people find it later in life. I'm glad I found mine early in life, even if we got together eleven years later.
"I love you so much, Vin. You know that?"
He smiled. "Yes. I love you too and no one is going to change that."
***THE END!
I hope you enjoyed this short story even though it has a lot of plot holes.
Thanks for reading!
Just kidding. There are a few more ideas I have, but I feel like this story won't go on for much longer. Maybe until chapter 30 or something.
Love you guys.
Does anyone have a ship name for Vin and Meg? I can't think of one.
