Garroth P.O.V

I opened one of my stories on the computer. Laurence pulled his chair up beside mine.

"What's this one about?" He asked.

"This one... uh, this one's about four people who have to... uh... they have to... I lost my train of thought."

  He laughed softly.

"It's about four people who have to find something... I haven't figured out what they have to find, but it like... I don't know, gives them some sort of powers maybe?"

"Oh! That sounds cool! Maybe you can give them a specific power based on their personality."

  "What do you mean?"

"Maybe powers based on the four elements? Like, this one here, the calm one, could be water. This one, the overexcited one, could be air. Serious
one could be earth, angry one could be fire."

"Woah.. I didn't think of that..."

"And maybe to get the powers they have to find some sort of magical thing in a magical forest." He leaned over my shoulder to see the screen better.

  "That's a good idea!"

He looked down and smiled at me. Something in my chest fluttered. I smiled back.

We continued throwing around ideas for a while. He gave me his Wattpad username so I could give him credit for helping me. He left to go to the store with Dante. I followed his account and started looking through his books. Most of them were magic and fantasy. I closed out of Wattpad, walked through the doorway, and walked downstairs.
His book was laying on the table still. I felt guilty for making him stop reading.

"Oh, hey Garroth." Travis said as he walked up the basement stairs.

  "Hi."

  "You're still mad?"

  "Yes."

"I hope they get stuff for tacos."

"They're only getting essential food. Like milk and eggs and stuff."

"Tacos are essential!"

  I rolled my eyes.

"So, what'd you and Laurence do?"

"We just worked on some of my stories."

He smirked. I walked into the kitchen before he could say anything. I looked in the fridge and in the cupboards.

"Woah... we really do need more food."

  "Yep."

I decided to not get anything. I walked back into the living room and turned on the T.V.  I flopped down on the couch. I flicked through the channels,  trying to find something to watch.

  Nothing...

I turned it to the news. I was only half listening. I got lost in thought the second it turned on. I started thinking about the stories, which led to Laurence.

Why did I feel like that when he smiled at me? He's smiled before. Maybe I just didn't notice it? Oh well.

That was the last thing I thought before I drifted off to sleep.
