Tryna pack away these seconds I keep stealing
Jewel woke up before Phil, as usual. She sat up, rubbing her eyes as she yawned. She turned and looked at him, grinning at the sight before her.
She gave him a soft kiss on the forehead, then got up from the bed slowly so that she didn't wake him.
She walked into the guest room where Aleysa was still staying, seeing she wasn't there. She was probably with Dan tonight.
After brushing her teeth and tying her hair up into a pony tail, Jewel headed for her small studio, sitting and putting on her headphones.
She worked on her music, occasionally rolling from her computer to her keyboard across the room.
After what felt like hours to her, she finally got a good rhythm and beat going on. She then pulled down her microphone and grabbed her notebook with her lyrics.
She clicked record, ready to start when she saw a tall figure standing the door from the corner of her eye. She shrieked in fear, forgetting Phil was in the flat.
Phil giggled as she took off her headphones, walking over to her. "Good morning." He greeted her, kissing her head.
Jewel grinned, "You scared me, you can't just stand in the doorway like that."
"Sorry." Phil leaned against the desk. "What are you doing babe?"
"Working on a new song, the producer said he wants me to have a new song ready for when I get over there." Jewel replied, getting up.
Phil pointed towards her notebook, "Can I see the lyrics?"
"No!" She snatched it back from him, "I want it to be special. You'll hear it when it's finished."
Phil frowned at her, watching her close the notebook as she threw it on her messy desk.
Jewel grabbed Phil's hands, "Don't worry, it's not bad. You're gonna love it." She kissed his jaw, then escorted him out or the room.
She just hoped she was right and Phil won't hate it.
