In which Phil and Jewel prepare for the inevitable
THIS SHORT STORY IS BASED OFF THE SONG "Suitcase" BY Before You Exit, IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THE SONG I HIGLY SUGGEST LISTENING T...
Jewel got on stage, smiling at try crowd in the pub. "Good evening everyone!" She greeted, her eyes falling on Dan, Phil and Aleysa in the back. It was a nice sight, seeing everyone back together. The usual Aleysa leaning against Dan with her head on his shoulder, Dan with his arm around her and Phil just watching Jewel.
"As you all know, I'll be leaving soon." She grinned awkwardly, "But I'm gonna leave on a great note. I'm gonna sing all the songs that meant the most to me. Today, I'm gonna sing Thinking Bout You to start it off."
She smiled to herself, listening to the music start and blast through the local pub. She remembers when she wrote this song..
It was three months ago, her and Phil had just hit seven months, she kept thinking about how her and Phil did marvellous things the other night. She doesn't usually sing sexual songs, they make her uncomfortable. But she was more than happy to write this song when her mind was running wild.
She never told the crowd it was about Phil, if they did then she'd be more than embarrassed. But she knew, Dan and Phil both knew it was about Phil.
As she sang, she fiddled with her sweater. "Oh I, don't have, you here with me, but at least I have the memory."
Everytime she sang that line, she felt her knees go weak. The same image popped into her mind, her and Phil against the wall, and Dan on the other side of the locked door knocking, asking if the two were okay.
She stopped singing for a moment to smile over at Phil.

Phil returned the smile, and leaned back in his seat.
He loved her so much, he wasn't sure how he was going to let her go..
