In which Phil and Jewel prepare for the inevitable
THIS SHORT STORY IS BASED OFF THE SONG "Suitcase" BY Before You Exit, IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THE SONG I HIGLY SUGGEST LISTENING T...
You know I just can't pull myself away. The more I fight, the more I wanna stay. And now I just can't find the words to say. So I wish that I.. Could take you in my suitcase
Jewel spent the next day packing away her music equipment. It was Friday now, she gets on stage one last time. She was gonna leave with a bang, literally. She called her sister and friend from her hometown, and in only two hours taught the two of them the lyrics to the song she wanted to end with.
When they got on stage, she felt nervous. Phil was in the back with a large bouquet of flowers, Dan was there as well, as well as Aleysa.
She looked down at her promise ring, and took a deep breath as the song started.
"She got a body like an hourglass, but I can give it to you all the time!" Her sister sang, and she smiled.
"She got a booty like a Cadillac, but I could send you into overdrive."
"Stop and wait, wait for that. Stop, hold up, swing, your bat." Jewel sang, smiling and winking.
"See anybody could be bad to you, you need a good girl to blow your mind."

"Bang bang, into the room!" Her and her sister sang, dancing around. Phil watched as they sang the chorus, smiling. He knew that this was a new song, and he loved it. She never ceased to amaze him with the songs she write. Not to mention it had the whole pub dancing.
"She might've let you hold her hand in school, but imma show you how to graduate!" Jewel belted out, the pub cheering for the one they came to see perform. "No I don't need to hear you talk the talk, just come and and show me what your momma gave ya!" She playfully tapped her butt, the pub laughing as she giggled afterwards.
Dan chuckled at the silliness Jewel showed, then looked at Phil, "You did good Phil." Dan joked, and Phil smiled.
"Yeah, I know I did." Phil just wished that this wasn't her last performance.
