Vicky lay her head on the desk in front of her, listening to this English teacher was boring enough, but add the fact that she was running on less than an hour of sleep thanks to being up all night looking for information on the Kanima. Stiles came running in and took a seat behind Scott, who was sat next to Vicky. "I just spoke to my dad" He said "Who just spoke to Jackson, and I've got some really terrible, horrible, very, very bad news"
Vicky looked at Scott "I think we already know" As he looked at Isaac who was sat in front of him, Vicky could see he had a smirk on his face. Vicky's head hit the table again and she drifted to sleep.

"Vicky" Her father shouted, she shot up and looked around, she was on the floor of a dark and musty room with flickering lights, a typical horror movie scene. "Vicky, we need to move" Her father shouted "They're coming"
"Who's coming?" She asked, getting up from the floor and following the retreating figure of her father down the dimly lit passageway.
"The wolves and the man" She heard her father but couldn't hear him.
"What man?" She asked, looking around.
"You're a stupid girl aren't you?"
"What?"
Her father shimmered in front of her, going from a stocky, tall man to a medium height man with dirty blonde hair and bright purple eyes. "Wh-What are you?" Vicky started to stumble backwards but the man grabbed her arm roughly.
"I'm here to educate you" He said as he guided her into another dimly lit room.
"Can't you afford a room that lights up properly?"
The man scowled at her before leaning against the wall opposite Vicky. "Do you know what you are?" He asked.
"Human" Vicky replied, her eyes glistening "What else could I be?"
"Oh, I think you know exactly what I am on about" The man rushed forward and pressed his hand on Vicky's forearm and she gasped in pain, she pulled her arm back in shock and looked at the red skin. "You are an indigo"
"I'm leaving" Vicky turned around but found she couldn't leave through the door, like there was glass separating her from the hallway. She turned around to the laughter of the creepy man.
"You must be an indigo. That's a mountain ash line" He pointed at the dark line on the ground "Indigo's can't cross it" He walked across the room and grabbed her shoulders "look into my eyes and say if you trust me or not"
Vicky glanced into her eyes and felt overwhelming trust for this man that had kidnapped her and burnt her. "Okay" She said, looking down. "What do you want?"
He released her and beckoned her into another room where he locked the door after Vicky had walked in, still rubbing her burnt arm. "Listen" He said, bending down to her height. "You will be wanted by a powerful indigo, a little older than you, who is extremely powerful" They heard distant howls "Who has control over humans and a wolf pack, his only mission is to kill to become more powerful. At whatever cost, don't let him kill you" The howls and sound of feet got louder "How old are you?"
"16" Vicky replied, "why?"
"You're already shifting, the indigo will try and show itself to you, try and ignore it unless your life's in danger, then once you have been exposed try and find someone to help you. There's a man in Beacon Hills called Deaton. Try and find him if you're in the area"
There were the sounds of claws against the metal door, the man pushed her towards a fire escape "run, don't stop, don't look back" She did as she was told and ran as far away as she could before she collapsed down an alley way a few miles away.
"Vicky?" Stiles poked the blonde, she looked up and his face became very anxious. "Are you okay?" He asked, "why are you crying?"
The room had gotten very small and crowded, she needed to get out of here. "I need to go, I can't breathe." She stood up, and stumbled over to the door where she ran into an empty corridor and into an empty classroom with Stiles closely behind. She pressed her back against the wall and slid down slowly, breathing heavily, and uncontrollably.
"Vicky" Stiles said "look at me, you're having a panic attack" He lifted her head with his hands and made her look at him. "Focus on me, look into my eyes"
She looked into his eyes and felt the worry radiating off him for her, she started muttering the numbers 1-10 on repeat to try and control her breathing. After a while her breathing slowed down enough for her to rest her head against Stiles' shoulder, she looked up at him who was watching her like a concerned parent. "Sorry" She whispered.
He moved so her head fell off his shoulder so he could face her. "Sorry for what?" He demanded "It's not your fault, I used to have them all the time after my mom died" His tone softened and she rested her head against his shoulder again "What did you dream about?"
Scott ran into the room, carrying both Stiles' and Vicky's bag as well as his own, he sat down next to Vicky and patted her on the leg for comfort "Are you okay?" He asked Vicky.
She nodded and lifted herself up from Stiles "There was this man in my dream and he said stuff about me being an indigo, he said I need to speak to someone called Deaton"
"Deaton?" Scott repeated
"Yeah, do you know him?" Vicky asked
"Know him?" Scott said, smiling "He's my boss"
"Can we pay him a visit, like now?" She asked, as she grabbed her bag and walked out of the room with the boys following her.

They walked into the vet surgery and Deaton came in from the back room. "Scott, Stiles, what a pleasant surprise" He smiled at the boys who smiled back, his gaze turned to Vicky "And you are?" He asked kindly
"Vicky Martin"
Recognition flashed across Deaton's face. "Nice to meet you" He flashed a smile "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Yes" Vicky replied "You've heard of me, haven't you?"
He glanced at the teenagers and then the door "Scott, turn the sign around saying we're closed please, and follow me"
***
Scott and Stiles ran off saying they had to deal with something important. Leaving Vicky and Deaton. "I know what I am, I just don't know what exactly I can do"
"Well" Deaton paused "You can do almost everything Scott can do, but you can heal other people and other things that chop and change"
"I don't understand" Vicky replied honestly
"Show me the inside of your right wrist" Vicky pulled her jacket sleeve up and showed him the small mark, which was the shade of a washed-out pen mark.
"How long have you had this?" Deaton asked her
"I don't remember" Vicky replied, "my mum used to say it was a scar but now I know it's not"
"When you become stronger, this mark will become darker, and visa-versa, if you become weaker, it will show up lighter" He let go of her wrist and she sat down on the seat in the corner and rubbed her eyes. "Do you know some things are poisonous to you?"
"Gold is the main one" Vicky replied "I know that" She replied darkly.
"Yes, maybe you should go home and get some sleep"
"I think I will, thank you" Vicky smiled at the veterinarian before getting in her and going home.
