Vicky stirred in the passenger seat, she groaned as she opened her eyes, her eyes grabbed her head as a migraine threatened to make an appearance.
"Oh good" The male driver said, "I was thinking for a while that you weren't gonna make it"
"I'm alive" Vicky replied, "barely" she muttered
"Oh, you're stronger than that Vicky, you'll be okay after we get to the destination"
"Who are you?" Vicky asked, she uncovered her eyes and looked at the man next to her, "Peter Hale?"
"In the flesh and blood" Peter replied smiling at the teen, he looked back at the road, "I suppose you've heard about me?" Vicky nodded, "how I'm evil?"
Vicky nodded "I've been told" She paused, "but, you risked your life to save mine in the station, so you're obviously not all bad"
Peter smirked, and pulled up outside the old Hale house, he killed the engine and looked at Vicky, "give me a few minutes and then I'll be back out to get you" he opened the car door, "do not run off"
Vicky put her hands in the air as a reply and hissed as her side burnt, she quickly lowered her arms and laid back in the seat.
Derek looked into a mirror, before he threw it towards Peter when he felt his presence in the room. Peter caught the glass and smiled at his nephew. "I expected a slightly warmer welcome" he slightly nodded, "but point taken"
Derek glared at his uncle before looking in the direction of the front of the house, "who's out there?" He asked.
"Someone who needs help" Peter replied, he looked at Derek, "someone who you" he emphasised you, "left at the station"
"Vicky?" Derek said, as he took a step forward, but she had walked into the room and smiled at the Hales, she was leaning heavily on the door frame.
"I thought I told you to stay in the car" Peter said,
Vicky looked at him and smirked, "you said don't run off" She doubled over in pain and Derek was by her side in an instant, he helped her towards the couch and she lay down, her head resting on Derek's lap.
"What happened?" Derek asked, playing with Vicky's hair, he felt her forehead burning up.
"In short" Vicky replied, "my aunt"
"Attacked her, left her for dead" Peter told the alpha, "since you were sulking somewhere, I saved the damsel in distress and brought her here"
"Thank you" Derek whispered, he looked down at Vicky who had fell asleep and moved himself from under her, he glanced at Peter, "know where she was attacked?"
"Side" Peter replied, as he walked towards the table and leant against it, watching Derek pull up Vicky's top and see the inflamed gunshot wound from the other day. "Who shot her?"
"Gerard" Derek replied, still tending to Vicky, he looked up as Peter walked over to him with bandages and antiseptic wipes.

Vicky woke up startled, she remembered she was in the car with Peter, she walked over to Derek and then fell asleep on the couch. She felt a burning on her side and moved to look, over her gunshot wound was a huge gauze and bandages, her head hit the couch as she groaned.
"Oh, sleeping beauty's awake" Peter called to Derek as he walked in, he smiled at Vicky, she noticed his lip bleeding.
Derek followed in shortly, his knuckles bruised and bloody. "How are you feeling?"
"Like shit" Vicky replied, slowly moving into a sitting position.
"Well, being shot and then stabbed with gold will knock you about a bit love" Peter looked at Vicky.
She sat in silence, clutching a water bottle as she listened to the two Hale's argue. "You tried to build your pack. You tried to prepare for the worst" Peter said to Derek, "you weren't ready. Because of it, Gerard is winning" He made a face at Gerard's name, "he's taking his time. He's toying with Scott, with Vicky!" He waved his arm at the blonde, "he's going after your wolves, one by one. He's relishing in his victory"
Derek glared at Peter, "tell me something I don't know?"
"Oh, I'm about to", he smiled at his nephew, "and it's gonna prove why you should trust me. Why you need to trust me" he emphasised the word need, "because I'm going to tell you how to stop Jackson"
"What do you mean?" Asked Derek, "know how to kill him?"
"Jackson isn't dying" Vicky spoke up from the couch, looking at the Hales, "I won't allow it"
"Well then Vicky" Peter smiled, "you're in luck. I actually know how to save him"
Vicky stood up and walked over to them, Derek let her lean on him, "there's a myth that you can cure a werewolf simply by calling out its Christian name" Peter told them.
"it's just a myth" Derek replied
Peter looked at his nephew, "Sometimes, myths and legends bear a hint of truth" he said, "our name is a symbol of who we are. The kanima has no identity, that's why it doesn't seek a pack."
"It seeks a master" Derek replied
"And who else grows up with no pack?" Peter asked, "no identity?"
"An orphan" Vicky answered, Peter nodded in approval, "like Jackson" She said
"Right now, his identity is disappearing beneath a reptilian skin and you need to bring him back"
"How?"
"Through his heart. How else?"
Derek rolled his eyes as he replied, "you know, Jackson doesn't really have too much of a heart to begin with"
Peter shook his head, "not true" he said, "he'd never admit it, but there is one person. One young lady with whom Jackson shared a real bond. One person who can reach him. Who can save him" Peter turned to Vicky
"Lydia" She said
Peter nodded before looking back at Derek, "your best ally has always been anger Derek, but what you lack most is a heart. That's why you've always known that you need Scott more than anyone. And even somebody as burned and dead on the inside as me, knows better than to underestimate the simple yet undeniable power of human love"
"So, Lydia can bring Jackson back?" Vicky asked, when Peter nodded, she smiled at the werewolf, "well then, let's do it"
