Vicky dropped herself slowly onto the sofa, breathing heavily; she was followed by a concerned group, all except Peter who smirked, "you really are determined aren't you?"

"Well I'm not called a stubborn bitch for a reason" she smirked back, she looked around the room and her smile faltered, "I'm fine! There's really no need to look so anxious!"

"It's not just you we have to worry about" Stiles replied quietly, but Vicky heard him.

"If its Nathan and the others your worried about, don't" she said, "they won't come after me for a while, seriously!" she tried to convince the room, "I do know how their brains work, I am related to two of them"

Scott sighed and agreed, "yeah your right, we just worry about it that's all" he checked his phone which had beeped, "Stiles, were going to be late to practice" he smiled at Vicky "we'll come and see you after?"

"Yeah that's fine!" Vicky smiled back, "tell coach I'll be there next week!" she saw them both laugh at each other. Her smile sticked to her face when she looked at Derek. "What?"

"I'm so sorry" he sank down onto the sofa next to the blonde, his eyes full of sorrow. Peter sighed and walked upstairs.

"What for?" Vicky asked, concern plastered on her face.

"For letting him get to you" He grabbed Vicky's hands.

She snatched them out of his grasp and stood up painfully, "you blame yourself?" she stared at Derek, "you blame yourself for coming into school grounds and attacking me in the female locker room, where you're not even allowed in, can I just say" her voice raised slightly

"I should have stopped him when I had the chance"

"And that would have led to us burying you instead of me lying on a hospital bed, if he killed you that would lead to my death as I wouldn't have stopped until he or I were dead" she put her finger under his chin and raised it, "look at me, I'm okay now. It wasn't your fault, I don't blame you, hell I don't blame anyone apart from him"

"Okay" Derek replied finally, he pulled the blonde into a hug, "I just love you that's all"

"I love you too, but you need to let me sleep, I'm so tired"

Vicky grabbed a white vest top and pulled on a pair of ripped jeans, she snatched a plaid shirt lay on the bed and tied it around her waist. The blonde tugged at her hair pulling a face, before deciding to pull it into a high ponytail.

Derek walked in as Vicky was finishing her make up, he looked annoyed. "You're really going in?"

"Yeah" Vicky replied, like there was any other answer, she dabbed lip gloss on before looking at Derek, "do you want me moping around here all day?" she asked, "I'm going" she quickly added before Derek could reply.

"At least let me drive you" Derek grabbed his keys, "yes in the Camaro" he sighed

Vicky grinned, "good, because that 4x4 you borrow off Peter is boring"

"Hey!" Peter called from the main room, "it's got us out of a few tight spots"

Vicky pulled on some ankle boots and walked into the room where Peter was sat on the sofa, she glanced at the werewolf, "what are you reading?"

"A book" he said from behind the object

"Didn't realize you could read" Vicky replied sarcastically, she walked out the sliding door and called bye to Peter before following Derek downstairs and into the car. They reached the school, the nearest teenagers were pointing and staring at the car and its occupants; sensing Vicky's apprehension, "you don't have to go in today" he said

Vicky shook her head, "yes I do, I have to face it someday, no time like the present" she avoided the werewolf's eyes, "anyway there's Scott and Stiles" she nodded at the two teens heading towards the car, once they reached the door Vicky leaned over and kissed Derek goodbye.

"Call if anything happens" he ordered the teens, mainly looking at Scott. Vicky rolled her eyes at the conversation. "Yeah I'm sure they'll keep close tabs on me"

Derek swung the car out the carpark and Vicky waited until it was out of sight before turning to her friends, she scratched her head, "so what's first period?"

Stiles shared a look with Scott, before Vicky laughed, "its Math's, I know, and before you ask, I know its Tuesday" she pulled them towards the main entrance to meet up with Allison and Lydia who both smiled at the three teens. When they walked in, most people stopped to look at the group, looks ranging from pity to perplexing. Vicky lent towards Lydia, "sense any Deja-vu?" before quickly walking down the corridor towards the class, she had sat down and got her books out before the rest of the class had even walked in.

"I have never in my life been watched this much" Vicky muttered to Allison while stood in the lunch queue.

"They'll get over it"

"So, how is she?" Lydia asked Scott who shrugged.

"She seems okay" he replied, "but you know her better than all of us, she's hiding stuff, putting on a protective outer-layer"

Vicky and Allison returned to their seats, Vicky picked up an apple and was about to take a bite when she noticed her friends watching her, "you can tell Derek I'm about to take a bite out of a small red apple"

"Were not telling Derek anything" Stiles replied, "we're just wondering if you're okay"

"Of course, I'm okay" Vicky replied, "I wouldn't be here if I wasn't" she shook her head, "Scott can you answer your phone it's so annoying"

"Because my phone isn't ringing?" Scott replied, he pulled his phone out and placed it onto the table, "are you sure-" he stopped talking as his phone lit up. Everyone looked at Vicky who shook her head.

"I-I don't know how I knew that" the mild shock and concern on her face mirrored the others sat on the table. "I've got an assignment due, I'm just going-going to go" she quickly stood up, "I'll catch you guys in Economics" she hurried off before anyone else could get a word out.

"Still think she's okay?" Isaac asked, getting a slight glare off everyone else at the table.
