Scott ended up telling Allison about how her mother had tried to kill him, and Derek's and Vicky's rescue mission where her mother ended up being bitten by Derek. Vicky watched as the couple made up a little bit and focused on her broken ankle, which was slowly healing. At the sound of someone entering the room, Vicky looked up and wished she hadn't. Derek had walked in with a dead Erica in his arms, and a distraught look plastered on his face.

"You lost them?" Derek asked Scott over the phone, they all had decided to split up, but Derek wanted Vicky with him. She didn't hear his reply but Derek obviously didn't like it as Derek sighed, "wasn't exactly the plan" he waited for the teen to talk again, "look, we're at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. Can you meet us here?" Derek ended the call and looked at Vicky who was sat on a mossy log, massaging her swollen ankle.
"What did you do?" Derek asked her
"Oh this?" She looked down at her ankle, "I landed on it funny, it needs to lose some weight" she joked
"Yeah, real funny" Derek rolled his eyes, "have you broke it?"
"Not sure" Vicky replied, she knew he'd moan at her if she lied to him.
"Go and wait in the car if you want to?" Derek sat down next to her and wrapped his arm around the girl's waist.
"You don't want me here?" Vicky pouted
"Of course, I do Vick, but I don't want you to get more hurt"
Vicky sighed dramatically and stood up, leaning on the alpha for support. She placed her bad ankle on the ground and hissed a little in pain. "I'll be fine walking to the car, it's only down there"
Before Derek could reply, Lydia was calling Vicky, she sighed and accepted the phone call, "Lyd's is everything okay?"
"Um, where are you?" Lydia's voice was shaky and timid.
"Nowhere important, what's wrong?"
"Can you come to the swimming pool outside of town" Lydia asked quickly, stumbling slightly on her phone, "now?"
"Yeah of course, I'll be there in five" Vicky ended the call and looked at Derek who had a scowl on his face. "I can't leave her, you heard, she sounds really shook up"
"Well you can't drive with that ankle" Derek pointed at Vicky's broken ankle.
Vicky raised one eyebrow, "I've driven with a gunshot wound, and an arrow in my leg before, believe me a broken ankle won't stop me getting to my cousin. I can either drive the Camaro or walk Der. It's up to you"
Derek growled slightly, "why are you so difficult?"
"it's in my genes" Vicky smirked, "look if it's any consolation, I'll go to the hospital after and get my ankle checked out?"
"Okay" Derek sighed, he gave Vicky the keys and kissed her forehead, "get that ankle checked out and call me as soon as possible"
"Sure, dad" Vicky laughed as she hobbled over to the Camaro.
Scott got to the entrance a few minutes after Vicky left, he looked at Derek confused, "where is she?"
"Gone to see Lydia, somethings happened" Derek replied.

As Vicky pulled up, she saw the Jeep outside of the swimming pool. Vicky stumbled out of the car, being careful not to put pressure on her ankle, she hobbled over to where Stiles was comforting her cousin. "Lyd, Stiles?" she called as soon as she got into their hearing range. They both turned around. She walked over to them as normally as she could and stopped, leaning against the brick wall. "What's happened?"
