Chapter 2-Anna's POV
He looked confused after I told him that I was a slave. I may be exaggerating a bit but, Zora treats me like I'm a slave. so that's what I consider myself as, not that big of a deal I guess.
"Why are you staring at me like that!" I snapped at him. he looked taken aback, I felt bad....." I'm sorry. I just...... I don't know what came over me...." I apologized, wow, that was hard.
He stepped closer to me and that's when I realized how close he was to me. also that I had no where to step back, seeing as I was right in front of the entrance.
Charles's POV
She was just so beautiful, I couldn't stop myself from staring and stepping closer to her. she, well Anna, didn't even notice me gradually getting closer. I, ever so slowly, lifted my hand up to her cheek and gently grazed it.
Anna was breathing heavily and she closed her eyes, as I stroked her cheek softly. I had a sudden feeling that she had been abused and hurt her whole life and I just wanted to help her.
I had the sudden urge to kiss her and I couldn't stop myself from leaning in. my fore head gently touched her's, her eyes still closed. my lips gently grazing her's as her eyes opened looking straight into my eyes and soul.
I looked at her lips then back to her eyes asking for permission. she did nothing so I took that as a yes and I leaned in all the way.
