Chapter 25- Charles' POV
They leave me in the cell for a good week before I look up to see someone come in.
During that week I've had nightmares about Anna dying. a very painfully slow death. they all end with her slowly crying and whispering my name. once I wake up I don't feel the relief of it being a dream, because I don't know if she's- I can't even utter the word. it's just too painful.
So I've tried to stay calm and occupy my awful thoughts with happy ones from my place in my chains.
Now back in the present........
The person comes to the table in front of me and takes a seat. it takes of their hood and I gasp. "mother!" I say, astonished. "Hello son." she states blankly. then she stands up grabbing me by my shirt and dragging me out the door. "it's time you come home." she states.
Anna's POV
I make it to where Charles' new cell is. but when I cautiously turn the corner I see him being dragged out by a woman. which I'm assuming is his mother.
I run over to them, punching the lady out cold and unlocking Charles' handcuffs. he looks at me with relief and something else that was quickly hidden so I wouldn't see it.
We run down the hallway. I lead him to an air vent that leads to outside. so we can escape.
We both jump in and follow it until we get outside, and jump to the ground. Running into the forest right behind the building...........
