Chapter 16-Charles POV
I had planned on surprising Anna with a walk in the garden. so we could talk about the dinner and discus us being 'fairies'. a lot to think about and I thought that she would feel better to talk about it, rather than be consumed with her thoughts. obviously that plan didn't work out.
Now I'm sitting on a bench in the garden in pain. also with Anna trying to comfort me by babbling, which is only making my headache worse also my hand feels like it's frozen from holding the ice pack for so long. so I do something without thinking, to stop the babbling. I lock lips with her.
Anna's POV
I know I'm probably being really annoying talking to him nonstop. but my mouth and mind just won't allow me to. so I just sit here waiting for myself to shut up. when Charles stops me himself. by kissing me!
I'm in shock for like two seconds and then I start kissing him back. at first it's gentle and then he sticks his tongue in my mouth. he wraps his arms around my waist, dragging me onto his lap. forgetting about his ice pack. that's when it gets more intense.
But he stops us. good thing too, that we didn't go any further. "I just wanted to shut you up, you were giving me a headache." he stated very slowly and quietly. I smirked "its a good thing you did. I could've talked forever." he tilted his head back and laughed. the moment just felt so perfect.
We sat there in each other's arms for awhile longer before deciding to go to bed. as we got closer to our rooms he stopped me "hey, do ya maybe wanna... stay with me.... tonight?" he asked very unsure of himself, scratching the back of his neck. I smiled "sure. why not." I grabbed his hand dragging him through his door.
We laid down on his bed, instantly getting under the covers. not caring that we were still in out clothes from earlier. we faced each other and just stared into each other's eyes. until Charles leaned forward to kiss the tip of my nose. "your a special girl, I hope you know that." he whispered right before I drifted off into my dreamland of Charles.
