Chapter 36

Chapter 36- Anna's POV

With the thoughts of Charles and our dates in my mind, I walk into Clarence's hospital room.

I gasp and drop his lunch.

He's writhing and twitching in his sleep. I act on autopilot and I try to shake him awake.

I'm about to grab some water when he sits upright, starring off, and starts speaking "the day holds the light while the dark prefers the night, forget not what you've caught for it all could be lost. the war draws near....the dark becomes clear, don't lose, you'll regret it...for this peace will come to an end...."

I stare at him blankly as he falls back onto the bed. that sounded like some kind of warning said in a riddle.

Clarence's POV

I open my eyes to see Anna, wide eyed, with her hand looking like it was about to grab my glass of water. "Wha-" I start. then it hits me, I must've spoken the warning aloud, right when Anna walked in.

I sigh and start "Anna, I was just visited by the oracle in my dream. she gave me a warning, and think it has something to do with Zora. 'cause we know she wants you and Charles since she's tried to kidnap you more than once." I say this hoping she remembers who the oracle is from our studies.

She still looked at me blankly, I sigh and start again...

"Anna, there's going to be a war."

After I said that Anna made me tell the Queen right away, resulting with her telling the whole of Faerie. which caused all out chaos.

The smith Fey started handing out their whole stock of armor and weapons. then they started making more right away.

The water fey began putting together bundles of food with the garden fey.

So pretty much everyone was doing something. even though we didn't even know if Zora was going to strike or not.

Anna's POV

I had grabbed an armor dress Mage of dragon scales. I was just tightening my sword strap when there was a knock on my door.

I finished tightening it to open the door, and found Charles there in full armor. he smile a little and said "I just thought that we could go and practice our glamor skills." I smiled and nodded. (Glamor is faerie magic)

I stepped out of my room, closing the door behind me, and grabbed Charles hand.

We made it to the training hall in less than 5 min, seeing as everyone else was in the main hall preparing, we didn't have to run into anyone.

I began to grow some thorns and weaving them into a giant boulder. I lifted it up and threw it at Charles, but he bested me by freezing it- making it crack in half, dying.

I glared at him, throwing pollen in his face- trying to blind him monetarily- when he threw some ice shards at me.

I quickly flipped over them, flashing my hands to make then poison flowers, and I whipped them right back at him.

We continued like this for a couple hours before deciding to take a break. Charles started to cool himself down with an icy tornado, while I stuck with a pollen filled one (Charles has winter fey powers while I have summer).

Charles stopped and started walking towards me, so I did the same. He swallowed and got on one knee.

"Anna, I know we haven't know each other very long, but I feel like it's been a lifetime....i wanna spend the rest of my life with you Anna! I can't take it not having a more intimate and exclusive relationship with you anymore! I want all of you to myself..... so will you.... marry me Anna?"

Tears had started to brim my eyes as I whispered a tiny yes and jumped into his arms....
