Chapter 37

Chapter 37- Clarence's POV

5 days after dream

Everything in Faerie has been crazy. no one was doing nothing. even the little fey found something to do, who always pass their time with pranks. they'll probably grow to be one of the fey who find humor in messing with humans.

As I watch the craziness continue, I don't realize there's a presence next to me until a soft voice whispers in my ear, "it's amazing, huh?"

I whip around to see Mariah smirking at me. I turn back to watch and reply, "what do you mean?"

"Well, it's amazing, how everyone jumps into action with only a warning to run them..." she trails off, smiling at me.

I turn back to her and smile myself, realizing how beautiful she is in that moment.

I start to say something when I'm cut off by a loud siren.

Mariah and I share a glance, knowing that our walls have been attacked.

Anna's POV

Charles and I stand in line with our army, waiting for Zora's to break through.

It is now that I realize how much I've caused these people. realizing that if I hadn't made it into that cave that day, so much would be different.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

She's coming. She's coming for me...

The door is broken down in less than 2 min that we were standing there. Charles grabs me and gives me a quick peck, whispering an I love you, right when we're pulled apart by the battle.

Zora's guards are completely covered in iron, deadly to the fey. An ogre charges a huge swarm off then, knocking them out with one smash.

I turn away just in time to see a guard charging me. I stare them down for a few seconds, readying my hand for a vine smash, when he stops, staring wide-eyed at me. before turning away.

Of course. Zora would want to kill me herself. well, then I'll have get to her first.

Charles' POV

Just as I finish off a guard, I turn to look in the mass of battle to find Anna, when I see her flipping vines at guards left and right. making a path.

Of course! she's going to try and find Zora!

I feel the urge to run after her, when I stop my self. this is her fight, I can't intervene.

But I still run close by, making sure she's alright.

Anna's POV

As I make my path through I realize that she's not here. I stop for a split second, trying to think of where she would be when I hear evil laughter behind me.

I whip around, narrowing my eyes. Zora. so she decided to show her face.

I throw her a vine full of thorns, ripping her arm off. "ahhhh!! you little bitch!" she screams.

I just smile. whipping some pollen at her to blind her. I succeed again.

I try and throw some more, when my movements stop. I'm completely out of control of my actions. that's when my arm gets raised up, then it twists, making a sickening crack.

I scream, falling to the ground in agony.

Zora laughs again. "I underestimated you, bitch. your much stronger than I thought you'd be." she raises her hand, lifting me up in the air, about to drop me-

When Charles jumps out of nowhere, shoving an ice spear through her chest.

Her hold on me loosens, I land on the ground, making my own spear to finish her off.

I jump up to her tall figure, and slice off her head.

Her whole body crumbles to the ground. I smirk in success.

Charles taps on my on my shoulder, turning my attention to the war raging. I gasp, seeing every guard fall to the ground. I guess once the leader is dead, their army falls.

I turn to Charles to see him smiling at me. I smile back. but this weird feeling comes over me....that was TOO easy.
