The Two Faeries of legend

Chapter 4

Chapter 4-Anna's POV

I heard a voice and I instantly felt scared. Charles came over to me and held me bridle style. I wanted to yell that, ' i don't need to be comforted!!!!' but I knew that wasn't true, and I'm not a tuff girl. but still.....i felt weak around him and I've only known him for like 20 minutes tops.

But he was........very warm and charming and comforting and H- I need to stop. what happened to that tuff girl running away, wanting a different and real life?......I guess she's gone now since the moment his hand touched my skin. I've melted into his spell, and the worst part is.....I'm happy about it.

I had nearly forgotten about the voice we heard, which had lead me to that earlier conversation i was having with myself. yeah, I'm pretty lame. But, hey, cut me some slack I've basically been a slave my whole life. so there isn't exactly a whole line of people to talk to.

Back to the 'voice', that's what I'm calling it until I get an actual name. "w-who are you??" I asked very scared. which proceeded in getting a tight squeeze from 'the charming prince'. wait.....did I just call him...charming?? I really needed to get some self control, and I can't believe I stuttered!! I Never stutter!! I really need to get things straightened out and push Charles away. he kept driving me crazy!!

The 'voice' responded saying, "I'm a faerie, the person who will help you, both, fulfill your destinies...." she trailed off as she began to appear, like only a few feet away.

My breath hitched, Charles felt it. so he gave me a look of concern. I didn't really have the strength to deal with him right now. the 'faerie' (her name, so far) continued " now Charles, I'm going to need you to set down Anna. so I can get a better look at you both...." Her words surprised us both, the 'her knowing our names' part. but the 'setting me down' part got Charles more.

So he set me down, dumbfoundedly. I almost stumbled at the sudden impact but Charles caught me just in time. the 'faerie' chuckled and mumbled to herself "The king was right, they're perfect for each other..." I was confused but I didn't say anything because I don't think I was supposed to hear that. so I stay silent.

The 'faerie' swished her dress and turned her head saying, "follow me..." it was weird it always felt like she was trailing off every time she spoke. I took a step first, going ahead of Charles which surprised him but I don't care. I wanted to show him I had some courage and I sure did hope it was working.

Charles's POV

Anna started following the fairy. which surprised me completely. I thought she was just a very fragile girl, but now I was doubting my first assumption. maybe she's more tuff than I thought.... But I still needed to get to know her more and I hope she'll let me and do so.

I started to follow the faerie and Anna, with high hopes and thoughts of where we're heading........
