Katherines pov

I woke to a few texts from calum, I fell asleep texting him so he went on with the convo for a little then realized that I had fallen asleep.

I hecka fell asleep on you last night I'm sorry, thank you for yesterday though it was fun!! I need to meet ur band members dude

I got up went downstairs to grab some breakfast. I decided on a bowl of coco puffs with no milk because I don't like the flavor of milk, everyone thinks it's weird but oh well.
My phone buzzes with a text from calum while I'm spooning th cereal into my mouth.

You'll meet them soon, and I had fun I'm glad your mom let you come.

I decided not to text back because I didn't know how to respond. I wanted to talk to Dakotah because we haven't talked much but it's hard with the time differences. A little conversation is better then none.

Today I had no plans so I decided to see what Andrew was doing. He hasn't made any friends yet but it's only been a few weeks. We have neighbors but i only said hi,I haven't met them. They have a son though, I'm not sure what age, I just heard my mom and his mom talking about it.

I went to see what Andrew was doing and he was taking a nap so I decided id just lay in bed doing nothing for a while. School starts soon sadly and I need some clothes so I look up stores online on my phone and browse through. I found some new green day and pierce the veil shirts that I wanted so I added 3 shirts to 'my cart'. I bought them with my credit card so ill get them eventually, said 2-3 business days. I went onto the target website wondering if they had one in Australia and they did. I love target it's the best place ever. I looked at some clothes and decided i wanted these dark grey joggers and a off white hoodie. They weren't expensive so I don't think my mom would care, plus it's for school.

I decided to shop around a little more until Andrew was awake.

I got a text and I immediately checked my phone.

Hey girly I miss you, Sebastian was a wreck the first day so I spent the night with him. He's doing lots better now but can't text you yet because he said "I'm just gonna pretend she's not gone for as long as I can" lol boys

I chuckled because that sounds so much like him. I miss back home, the weather and food was better. But it's a new adventure here I guess.

I replied to her saying that ill Skype them as a soon as I can and telling her that school starts in a month for me. School stresses me out and I break out and it's horrible. Homework sucks too, why have work after I get out when I just spent 6 1/2 hours doing stupid work.

Dakotah and I tested for a little longer but i was bored out of my mind so I made my way to Andrews room. He was finally up playing video games.

"Lets do something today."

He paused his game and looked up at me

"Like what?"

"Well I mean your room is almost empty, did u want to repaint it??"

He got a look on his face and started to nod his head while repeatedly saying yes. I decided it was time for me to drive somewhere so I told my mom I was taking the car to get paint for Andrews bedroom and to pick out a color for mine eventually. She was iffy about it but finally gave in. I ran upstairs and through on my black running shorts and a tank top and put on my flip flops. Andrew was already waiting for me so I grabbed the keys and got into the car. I had looked up the nearest hardware store on the GPS and found one a few blocks down so that's where we headed.

"What about this color? Rough red" Andrew asked me while holding up a paint sample.

"Its literally the color of my hair drew" I laughed.

"Okay maybe a different color"

"I kind of like midnight crisp" I said handing him the deep blue sample card. He stares at it for a few minutes and decided that's what he wanted. But he also wanted me to paint a baseball on his wall, luckily I'm talented with art. We ordered a can of ocean crisp and a little can of white and cherry red. While they were mixing together I looked at colors that I could potentially paint my room.

I really liked 'sea ice' but I don't want a bright room. I think I'd do sea ice and then black furniture or trimming. I took the sample card with me and went to grab the paints that were done. Andrew followed behind me as we paid for the paint, I threw a few rollers and paint brushes on the register. The total was only $45 so it wasn't bad at all.

We carried our crazy named paint colors back to the car, hopped in and headed home to paint.

We had managed to get the furniture covered with plastic and the floor was covered to. We did 3 walls and took a break. We are keeping the ceiling white though because it would be too dark and ceilings are complicated. Andrew was getting excited, he liked the color a lot. I had to say,it was a pretty nice color. We spent the rest of the day putting his room together, the paint fumes were too much so he'd be sleeping on my floor tonight so he wasn't alone.
