Calums pov

she began to fall asleep, looking angelic. She made little noises while she slept and it was pretty funny so I had to get a video. She will see that eventually. Her pajamas were actually so soft, when I grabbed them I wanted to wear them myself but I wouldn't fit.

She never wore anything colored, if she did it wasn't bright and it was dull and light. The only color ever on her was the deep red of her hair, which was beautiful.

She slept as I continued watching the movie. Near the end her mom walked in and scared the hell out of me

"She fell asleep Mrs. Grey" I whispered across the room.

"Oh gosh Katherine," she giggled "well you can stay here just no funny business okay , and don't hurt my daughter okay" I said a quiet okay trying not to wake her and her mom offered me a pair of basketball shorts that were Andrews that could fit me. He's not fat but he's just a tall kid and I'm skinny. I declined because I didn't want to get up and disturb Katherine , she said goodnight smiling and shutting the door.

I finished the movie and turned it off knowing I would fall asleep with the tv stuck on the menu options. I sent a quick text to my mom telling her I'd be home in the morning.

I got comfy and brought the blanket over Katherine and I trying not to move her too much.

I lay on my back while her head was on my chest and her hand grabbing onto my t shirt. My eyes began to feel heavy and within minutes my eyes fully close and I'm asleep.

Katherine's pov

I was dreaming about unrealistic things when something startled me and woke me up.

It was calum, he stayed the night and he didn't wake me to tell me. I slept pretty good, it just was alarming when I felt an arm around my shoulder when I forgot that he was even here.

I lay there for a few minutes thinking about what to do. I reach for my phone and send a quick text to Dakotah.

Dude remember the calum kid I told you about? He came over last night and we watched movies and then I got tired and he handed me my pajamas and TURNED AROUND when I changed. I fell asleep on him and he stayed the night and DIDNT try to pull any moves

I sent and set my phone down between calum and I, there wasn't much room considering that I'm quite the cuddler. I just laid there thinking about life and how different Aussie is from the place where I grew up. My phone buzzed startling calum in his sleep a little. He stretched before his eyes peeled open.

"Good morning sleepy head" I said looking at him and grabbing my phone to check the text.

"Oh yeah I'm the sleepy head, you're the one who fell asleep on me last night" he said laughing at me. I laughed along and read my text.

Well jeez he's a great guy, you two can be best friends but he can't replace me okay?(;

I laughed at her knowing that she was dead serious, I sent back a simple text saying that I won't replace her and I sat up rubbing my eyes.

"Does my mom know you stayed? Or do I have to like sneak u out of my balcony?"

Calum laughed , "no you isn't have to sneak me out, she came in last night and told me that I could stay"

I nodded, kind of surprised she was totally cool with the fact he was staying the night and was a boy.

"How many people have you had to sneak out of that balcony huh?" Calum asked, I didn't know if he was serious or not but I got nervous

"Cal I haven't snuck anyone in or out!! I haven't had anyone even over, you're literally my only friend! I have no one else, I know maybe two other people and one is a girl." I sighed after I said all that

"Katherine calm down I was joking!!" He said while laughing really hard, at least he was joking

"You hungry? I'm starving and I don't know what we have but we will have something " I said walking to my bedroom door hearing him follow close behind.

"I can make some waffles or pancakes if you'd like. I make the best"

" I love waffles and hate pancakes" I said making my way down the stairs, "HOW DO U HATE PANCAKES THEYRE LITERALLY THE SAME THING WITHOUT LITTLE SQUARES?!" Calum exclaimed making it sound like I was crazy for liking waffles and not pancakes.

"I've been told that all my life cal," I said with a giggle, "but pancakes are too squishy, I don't know but u can make waffles if you like"

He nodded and my mom entered the kitchen and asked how we slept.

We both answered "good" at the same time and it made it seem suspicious even though nothing happened.

Calum started looking for waffle ingredients and mom just stared at us and smiled. We began to make pancakes and I decided to bring up school.

"School starts soon, where do you go cal?"

"I go to the one a few blocks away, it's called waters edge"

A smile grew on my naked face, "that's where I'm going, good I already have one friend"

"You'll have 3 more when u meet Ashton Luke and Michael. Luke isn't around a lot but we will find him somewhere eventually" he said while mixing all the ingredients together

"Are they nice?" I asked curiously, I figured they would be but still making sure.

"Oh yes, but Luke is kind of..different."

"What do you mean different??"

"Well he's a little rude sometimes and he's never around, but you're a girl I think he will be easy on you"

I nodded not knowing what to say, I watched calum pour the mix into the hot waffle maker.

"Where did you learn to cook? I know waffles are easy but still"

"I used to cook with my sister and my mom when I was little. We usually make breakfast together and sometimes lunch, mom always liked doing dinner though. We would cook lots of cakes and brownies and decorate them crazy" he said laughing lightly while looking at me.

I didn't say anything and just looked at him and thought for a while.

"WAFFLES ARE READY" calum yelled quite loudly and Andrew came running in and mom came in a few minutes after. It's like calum is super comfortable here like it's almost his home.

It was so comforting, having a friend.
