Katherines pov

Today was boring so far. I unpacked most of my stuff yesterday and I'm now putting up pictures on my walls of my bedroom. I have a few of my group of 4, 5 counting me. There's also some random ones of my brother and I and one with my old friends. I used to have a really good friend group but some bad things happened and none of them speak to me, I don't even try to talk to them, I gave up months ago.

I finished the pictures and slumped down on my queen size bed and scrolled through my Twitter. It said I have new follower and I checked and it was calum from the store. How in the world did he find me? I followed him back and sent a Dm to him

"Hi calum how in the world did you find me?"

It actually weirded me out like I have been here only a few days.

He sent a Dm back very quickly and explained that my mom ended up going to the store and he asked her last name while helping her and he saw the resemblance between my mother and I and looked me up.

"Ahh makes sense" I replied. I don't know how to talk to him, I never make friends easily and I feel like I'd scare him off so quickly,that's a normal thing for me. I went through his pictures and tweets seeing if there's anything interesting but not too much. He seems like he's quite the partier to me.

"Hey since you're new in town do you want me to show you around?? Or do you want to just hang out with me?" His next Dm read.

I got nervous so quickly and replied "do u have a car because I don't"

"Of course!(:"

"Okay well then sure, when should I be ready?"

" I get off work at 4 and then ill be over to pick you up!" I checked the time and it was 2:37 so I had some time to get ready.

"Okay ill be waiting, here's my address. 29301 Lynn way"

I hit send and ran down my stairs to look for my mom. I found her in the kitchen typing on her laptop, probeably work stuff.

"Hey mom um a friend is coming by in a little over an hour to show me around the town for a little"

She stopped typing and looked at me "what friend? We've only been here a few days and you've only been outside this house 3 times"

"The one I met at the store when u made get you tampons"

"Is it a girl or a boy?"

"Mom it's a boy and his name is calum. You can meet him when he comes to get me, you let him in the store too"

"Alright sounds fine, go get ready"

I said a quick thank you before running back up to my bedroom. I got in my shower quickly and rinsed my hair with my special shampoo and conditioner, it smells like vanilla and coconut. It takes me forever to wash my hair because of how long and thick it is. I eventually finished my hair and quickly scrubbed at my body to clean it. I shaved my arm pits quickly just because they were starting to get bad. I let the warm water run down my back a few more minutes before I stepped out onto my soft bath mat. I put my hair up in a towel and dried off with another.

Once I finished that i headed to my closet and grabbed a white fall out boy tank and black shorts. I put my underwear and bra on quickly and through my clothes on. I went back into my bathroom and let down my hair to blow dry it.

I didn't have enough time to dry it all the way but it's okay it's mostly dry. I added a little foundation and mascara with my famous winged eyeliner. I looked decent. I checked my phone and it was 3:57. I searched for my black converse and found only one. Where the hell is the other one?

It took me ten minutes to find it and it was literally under my bed where I didn't even think of checking. I put them on and tied them and headed downstairs grabbing my purse on the way down. I was halfway down the stairs when the doorbell rang. I took a deep breathe and opened it. There was calum wearing all black standing in my doorway.

"Hi come in"

He stepped inside and smiled. Andrew popped out of his room and walked over to calum and said hi

"Hi buddy what's your name?" Calum asked him

"Im andrew, you're calum right?" Calum looked at me and chuckled

"Thats me, I guess your sister talks about me"
I started to blush because that's not true I haven't said anything besides that he was coming over.

"Oh yeah all the time" Andrew lied

"Alright Andrew you can go, tell mom to come here"

"Im already here"

"Hello Mrs grey, I was just gonna take Katherine and show her cool places around town is that okay??"

My mom smiled

"Yes just bring her back in one piece before 10:00 please"

"I will maam, thank you, we should get going Katherine"

I said a quiet okay and said goodbye to my mom and we headed to his car. It was a nice 6x6 black jeep.

"Fuck I love your car" I said opening the passenger door.

"Me too it's a chick magnet man" calum said laughing at himself.

"So im gonna show you some main hang out spots and stuff nothing to excited but I figured it would be fun and somewhat helpful" he said while driving down unfamiliar roads.

"Thanks,can I plug my phone in and play some music?" I asked feeling a little awkward.

"Of course but of you play country I may have to pull over and throw you out of my car" he said looking at me, a laugh erupted out of me and it was loud. I immediately closed my mouth and turned wide eyed at calum

"That was so bad I'm sorry" I said kinda embarrassed

"Shut up Katherine and plug your phone in, but I'm serious about the country thing" he chuckled.

I laughed and plugged my phone in and out on green day when September ends. I will always love green day no matter how old I am

I started to sing along and took in the pretty sights

"Ya know Katherine you're a good singer, but I think I'm better" he smirked at me. I've been told multiple times that I'm a good singer but I never believe anyone

"Oh yeah ok sing then"

He belted out the lyrics

7 years has gone so fast

Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again

falling from the stars

Drenched in my pain again

Becoming who we are

he stopped and I was speechless

"What the hell calum that was amazing why didn't you tell me you could sing like that?!"

"Because we just met silly I haven't told you any thing a out me" calum laughed and I joined in

"Okay that's true"

"But we're two minutes away from my favorite spot so we can stop there and talk about ourselves and learn stuff, sound good??"

"Sounds perfect cal, wait can I call you that?"

"As long as I can call you Katie"
