Letter #2

Dear Mr. Talope,

I know that you’re a busy man, but I hope you’ll take time out of your day to read this.

Hopefully, you’ll read this on Friday, the 13th, and no later, but it’s hard to do things for yourself when you’re not around.

But even if it is Friday the 13th, school might already be over, but there’s nothing I can do about it.  But whenever the next school day is or if the day isn’t over yet, please do this… for me.

Earlier today (if it’s Friday the 13th), I committed suicide.  It’s no big deal really.  No one wanted me around, and I didn’t have anyone to stick around for.

I have left instructions for a recording to be delivered to you exactly at 2 o’clock on Friday the 13th also, so hopefully everything goes according to plan.  When you get the recording, please arrange a school assembly.  If you do not receive this letter and recording when I expect you to get it, please, still do this whenever the next time there is a day of school.

When you get the recording, please announce a sudden assembly that is mandatory.

On the recording is my story.  I have left the reasons why I’ve died and some confessions.

If you decided to just throw this letter away… that is your choice.  I really don’t care since I’m no longer living.

Now, I’ve killed myself because I didn’t want to live anymore.  My fellow peers have helped me realize what a huge waste of space I am.  It’s as simple as that.

I’d just like to thank them for their sincerity and honesty, and their help in making me realize the truth.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to do this.  I appreciate it. J

Sincerely,

Lucy Nelson
