Bethany's P.O.V

"So he just agreed? Do you even know what you're saying?!" I yelled in frustration. "Bethany, I told you. He genuinely likes her. You can't no you mustn't try to break them apart. I suggest you just let them be." Dad said, unintentionally adding fuel to the fire.

"Dad!! I want him. No. I need him." I said, exasperated. "Bethany. Be reasonable. First of all, you don't need him. Second of all, we are leaving India as soon as our deal is sealed because that was the main, wait no, that was the only reason to why  we came here. Only For signing the deal with the Malhotra Industries. Nothing else. Also, even if you do somehow get together with him, he lives in India Bethany. Not in the US." Dad blabbered.

What is wrong with him? Can't he see that I really like Rehaan and want to spend the rest of my life with him?

I glare at the person who brought me this news. Jay. Jay Varma. I met him in the US. He's a computer-software freak and a brilliant spy. He was interning for my dad.

My dad flipped when he found out that I was making Jay spy on Ahana and Rehaan but he can't really do anything about it because when I make my decision, I don't change my mind.

"Do you have any other news about them? And are you sure that they're getting engaged?" I asked him. He nodded. "That is all. And yes, I am sure that they're engaged." He replied.

"When?" I asked.

"Not sure about that; But soon. I heard their mothers speak." He said. I threw the glass I held in my hand towards the wall. The sound of the glass breaking being the only sound that was made.

"Bethany. Stop it." Dad said, holding my hand. "I want him Daddy. And I am going to get him. Whether you like it or not. I cannot let Ahana marry him." I stated.

"Bethany. Think about it. If you do whatever you're planning to do and eventually if he agrees to be with you, do you think he is going to be happy? Face the truth, he likes Ahana. Not you. And if you do marry him, he wouldn't be happy and neither will you." Dad said.

"Dad! You don't get it. I like him. I really do. And don't you want to see your daughter happy? I will be happy with him dad. And about him not liking me, why wouldn't he? I have the looks, the body and the money. And I will definitely be loyal to him. What more does a man look in for a woman?!" I snapped.

"A good personality.." I heard Jay mumble.
I turned to look at him. "What did you just say?"

"N-nothing." He said nervously. "You think I don't have a good personality? Who are you to say that huh!" I said extremely irritated.

"I didn't say anything." He said. "Look Jay, your work is to spy on and tell me everything that you know about Ahana and Rehaan. That's all. You don't have to state your opinions in my matters. Am I being clear?" I asked him firmly.

He nodded. "You can leave." I said. He left without a word.

"Dad, either you help me or you don't interfere in my life. Choose whichever." I told my dad.

He looked at me with a worried expression. "Bethany, I will not help you in something that I know is wrong. You will be ruining not just your life but Rehaan's and Ahana's too. You'll be breaking someone's relationship. Does that not make you feel bad at all?" he asked.

I shook my head. "Dad, they don't belong with each other. Rehaan is the one. I know it. He's the one for me and I am just fighting for my love. How is that wrong? And why should I feel bad for that? Also, I won't be ruining anyone's life because eventually, this would have happened. If not now, maybe after they were married. And that would have been worse. So better now than then right?" I said and left the room, not sparing a glance towards my father.
