"She's awake. Ahana's awake." I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around and saw Mr Chauhan standing there with tears in his eyes. We immediately rushed in to see Ahana's mother holding Ahana's hand and talking to her.

I saw Ahana. Her eyes were dull. She looked weak but she looked alive now. She slowly sat up with the nurse's help. I stood there, frozen. I couldn't move. I wanted to rush to her and hug her and never let her go. I don't know if this is just a bad dream or if it's actually happening. I feel like I'm the one who needs help right now.

My vision blurred and one tear drop fell on my cheek. My Ahana. In the hospital. Because of me. I hurt her.

"Re-han" I heard her say softly. I broke down and rushed to her. I hugged her and after five whole minutes, her mother gently pulled me away.

"I am never going to let you out of my sight," I said softly and kissed her cheek.

"Hey. I'm alright. It's okay." She said softly. "No. It's not! I got you into all of this. You're here because of me. I'm so sorry." I said. It's all my fault.

"Ma? Can I talk to Rehaan alone? Please." She asked her mum. Her mum nodded and left the room.

Ahana then turned to me and held my face between her hands. "Listen to me and listen good. All of this isn't your fault. It's Bethany's. Also, if it weren't for you, I don't know what would have happened to me. You saved me. You saved both Aisha and me. How's Aisha?" she said and asked concernedly.

"Aisha's fine. She'll be discharged soon." I said. She held my hand and said, "Rehaan, I'm serious. None of this is your fault. It's not your fault Bethany was obsessed with you. It isn't your fault that you said no to her. This.Isn't. Your. Fault. Trust me."

I smiled sadly. I do trust her but I really think I brought this upon her. I really think it's my fault. I don't think I deserve Ahana. Anybody else in her place would've yelled and screamed at me, but here she is telling me it wasn't my fault when evidently it was.

I removed my hand from hers and said, "I'm going to call the doctor. She has to see you." Ahana nodded and leaned back and sat.

I went outside, sent her mother in and went to call Dr. Pai. Soon Dr. Pai and I went to see Ahana. "Okay, Ahana how are you feeling?" she asked.

"I'm feeling okay." "Any headaches? Blurriness?" Dr. Pai asked. "No."

"Any sort of discomfort?"

"Yes. My leg hurts." Ahana said. "Ah. That is because you have hurt it. You'll need rest for at least three weeks Ahana and you'll be fine." Dr. Pai said.

She checked Ahana's blood pressure and then said, "She's fine. I need to talk to her privately please."

I already knew what she was going to ask. Ahana's mother and I were about to leave the room when I heard Ahana say, "Can he be there?"

I knew by 'he' she meant me. Please, no. What if it's something I can't take? Besides as much as I don't want to, I think I'm going to break off the marriage. She deserves somebody better. Not me.

"Do you want him to be here?" Dr. Pai asked. Ahana must have nodded because Dr. Pai then asked me to stay.

I slowly went and sat on the chair next to Ahana's bed.

"Okay. Ahana do you remember what had happened?" Dr. Pai asked. Ahana nodded. "Bethany kidnapped me and Aisha. And then Rehaan found us. I don't know what happened after that." Ahana replied.
