"UGH." I moaned as I tried to open both of my eyes."Hi Brad." I hugged my pillow, pretending it was him.
Hi Monday. Here we go again.
I remembered it was Jessica's birthday. So I took my phone but it rang. "Hello?"
"Hi bess." Jessica's voice came crashing from the other line.
"Hi bess. Happy birthday! How are you?" I asked, pretty excited to talk to her.
"I'm great. Can you stop by at my parent's house?" She asked.
"Sure. What time?" We're just in the same city. No problem with traveling.
"Maybe after lunch time." She said.
"Okay. I'll be there at 1." I said back.
"How was the band anyway? I've seen your IG photos with them." She asked.
"Well, nothing has changed. James' still sweet, Connor still knows I am into Brad, Tristan's still a sleepy jerk, and Brad's still Brad." I answered.
I heard her laugh at the other line. "I bet you have written mostly all your songs about Brad."
"Hey!" I defended. "Well, yeah. Kinda."
I heard her teasing me with her laugh.
"There was no other inspiration, bess." I rolled my eyes at myself.
"Sure sure. Hey, I gotta go. I need to prepare breakfast for Mom. See ya later. Love ya." She bid.
"Love you too. See ya." I replied.
I spent the whole morning trying to write a song. Well, I came up with a small verse.
"Oh, it hurts seeing you walk awa–" I was cut off by a knock on my front door.
"Hi." A boy with strange gray eyes greeted me with a wide smile.
"Uh... hi?" I replied, confused.
"I'm Will, your new neighbor. I live next to you, in the old Sandel's house." He informed. Will. Okay.
Oh. A newbie. "Oh hi, welcome to Washington. So, you're Mr. Sandel's grandson?"
"Yep. He handed down the house for me since I'm finishing college this year." He told me. "You're close with my grandfather?"
"Technically, yes. I always loved his home-baked cookies." I said.
"He used to have a bakery before when I was still young." He said.
"Where did they moved in?" I asked.
"New York." He answered. "Um, I better go. Let's catch up sometime, I just wanted to say hi because grandpa seems fond of you."
"Oh. Sure. Nice meeting you." I winked.
"You too." He smiled.
He's so good looking, ugh. Those pair of gray eyes. Pinkish lips. And that smile that can possibly drop your underwear.
Ha! But I'm loyal to Brad. Wink wink!
'Brad calling...'
Speaking of the devil. No, scratch that. Angel, I mean.
"Hello?"
"Uh... faster babe." I heard a girl moaning.
"Sh*t." I cursed under my breath.
"Ugh... Hahahahaha!" I heard one and then four voices of men laughing on the other line. K. It was just a prank call.
"Ha-ha-ha. Very funny." I said sarcastically.
