"HI." I greeted her. I kissed her cheeks as she did the same to me and we sat down.

"Hello." She smiled. It's a plain smile. No expression filling it. "What do you want to eat? Or drink?"

"A pineapple juice will do." I said.

"Okay." She nodded. She called the waiter and the waiter took our orders. "Thanks."

"So, um," she cleared her throat. "I've heard the news. And the girls did too."

Should I be sorry for dating a friend's ex?

"Sorry." It just slipped out of my mouth.

"You shouldn't be, Kate. What you did was right. Fight for what makes you feel happy." She advised. "Fight for him."

"I'm not gonna lie. I still love him. I never stopped loving him." She added. "But I'm willing to let him go. Please treat him the best way possible."

"I..." I trailed off. "I don't know what to say... But I will."

The waiter came and gave us our orders.

"So," she tried to cheer up. "Why don't we watch a movie or something? This is something we should celebrate."

I managed to smile as she did. "Yeah. Why don't we just roam around? Let's try to shop for something we'll spot. I'd like that better."

"Sure!" She cried. "But let's finish our drinks first."

I nodded and chuckled. After drinking the juices, we paid our order and strolled around the malls that stood really close from each other. At the middle of our shopping...

"I almost forgot, it's your birthday on 24th, right?" Lauren suddenly asked as we're trying to find something in this H&M stall.

"Yep, why?" I answered, and continued searching for something I'd add to my closet.

"Nothing." She sang. I can sense her grin.

I found what I want. It's a pair of a mint green cropped top and a short denim shorts. I searched for size M. Yep, I'm not that thin just as you expected. Actually, Lauren and I might have the same body statistics if only her bust was a little bigger than it was, and if I was as tall as her. She's 5'7 or something and Camilla and I got the same height.

"I never thought you wear those kinds of clothes." She reacted with a chuckle.

"Not all the time, but I have a black trench coat at home that I haven't worn yet. I think it goes well with these." I shrugged with a smile.

I looked at her as she took out a plain gray sleeveless body-hugging dress, she put it back when she saw the size. "Don't they have size L? Oh here."

"Do you think it would look good on me?" She asked me, like a normal girl would.

"I guess so. But I never saw you wearing any color mostly aside from white and black." I answered her. "Don't worry, it'll look great on you."

"I'll just go to the fitting room." She smiled and chuckled. I nodded at her and smiled. I watched her disappear before turning back to the clothes. I spotted a maroon high-waist skinny jeans and I took my size.

Seconds after, Lauren popped beside me. The gray dress suited her body well. "What do you think?"

"It's pretty. It looks great on you." I said in awe. Her aura is simple but sophisticated.

"I'm going to buy this." She smiled widely and went back to the fitting room.

My phone beeped.

'Hey, where are you?'
