'Missing you already.'

A text from Brad appeared on my phone's screen. It's Saturday, third day without Bradley Simpson and the lads, and my life seems so f*cking boring.

'I miss you too. Behave.'

'I will.'

I smiled to my phone and took it back to my bag's phone pocket. I am wandering through the big city of New York. I was wondering about how did I end up with Brad. What did I do to deserve something like him?

"Oh my gosh, it's really Kate." A teenage girl from my back squealed. I looked back at her and gave her a smile.

I was wearing a light trench coat, since it was partly cloudy and so windy. It started getting windy and cloudy in Washington and New York since the boys went home.

"Can I ask for a quick picture?" She tapped my shoulder.

"Sure." I looked at the phone and smiled to her after that.

"Thanks." She squealed and went on walking. I walked through a café just down the sidewalk, where New Hope Club boys asked me to meet them.

I saw them laughing and talking about something but as I walked over they started getting quite serious and silent.

"Hi Kate." George stood up and offered his chair for me.

"How nice of you, thanks." I smiled and sit down. George sat down in a vacant seat next to me. The boys insisted to order for me, so yeah.

Reece and Blake were giving looks to George I couldn't understand.

"So, um," George cleared his throat before looking at me. "We want to ask if we could feature you in our album?"

I smiled widely. "What? Of course, sure! When would it be?"

The boys gave each other bro-fists and Blake answered my question. "It'll be in September 28th. We'll have some jamming, and as early as we get to write a song together, we'll record it sooner."

"That will be nice. It's an honor, guys." I told them.

"The pleasure is ours. Thank you." Reece smiled.

"Yeah, thanks." Blake chuckled nervously.

I talked with the boys and they seemed really fun to be with. Maybe because of our same age gaps, we get along. Now maybe I'm confusing you why I hang out with boys mostly. Well, I don't know, I grew up being super close with Dad. We're like best buddies.

"Sorry guys but I need to go home now." I told them, glancing on my phone saying 5:20 PM.

"We can give you a ride back home." Reece suggested.

"No, I can manage. Thanks though. I hope to see you soon." I smiled to them and waved my goodbye.

I went out of the café and started walking back to where I parked my car. When I almost got there, I saw this small boutique at the other side. I became curious about it. I crossed the street and went inside it.

It was a book café. It was just a small boutique but I find it really cozy. My eyes caught the shelf of fiction. I went over and started looking for books.

I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry, I–"

"Lauren?" I asked.

"Hey." She smiled. "Sorry."

"It's okay, it's my fault actually." I shrugged.

"How are you?" She asked, making me look straight at her face. "Congrats to your album, by the way."
