She's with him and I bet he's happy again. And for me? I'm alone in my room, trying to feel okay with the help of this bottle of red wine in my hand.

Until when am I going to feel like this? Until when am I going to love him more than my own life? Until when am I going to sacrifice my happiness for his own? Until when is this problems going to drag me down?

"Kate?" I heard a voice down from the hall.

"Yes?" I shouted back.

The door of my room opened and it revealed my manager, Annie. "Hey."

"Hey." I smiled and catch up with her.

"Big B wants you to release another single." She says. "But before that, how are you?"

"I'm..." I wish. "...fine."

"You don't have to hide from me, Kate. I know you're confused and hurt. But I talked to Joe earlier, he said Lauren came there unexpected and Brad didn't ask her to go after him." She says.

But why is Brad smiling at the photo?

"He's probably telling me that just to make me feel okay." I shrugged. "Anyways, let's go make some new music. I'll just take a short bath." I smiled the problem away but deep down, I'm damn hurting.

"Kate!" "Kate!" "Kate!"

"Hello." I smiled to the fans. Oh, they're like my batteries. They keep me full charge.

"We won't ask for a picture today, we just want to ask if you're okay." One of them ask.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you. I'm okay." I smiled.

"Just break up with Brad already. He did nothing but cause you trouble and pain." Another one said.

"Yeah." The other one nodded her head.

"I'm having a new single released soon. I hope you like it." I told them.

"Oh, we love it already!" They squeals.

"Kate! Let's go!" I heard Annie's voice.

"I hope to see you again. Bye!" I waved at them before I went inside the building.

The whole day was spent in making spontaneous melodies in the music room. I missed this. Having fun without any problems. Suddenly, music gave me relief and calmness... just like how it used to.

I realized... I shouldn't be locking myself inside my room alone and try to dry my tears. I shouldn't be treated like this.

It was fun to be back in the game. The people around me made me forget all the problems I'm facing right now. They were the case of distractions I badly need. It feels like I was back to my old-self again; carefree, wild and happy. I just want to be like this. I wanna be like this forever.

"Can we release a single tomorrow?" I asked Annie. Her smile showed.

"Sure!"

I just want to be what I once was. Step aside Brad. Step aside Lauren. I want to focus on myself, on my career and to the few beautiful things around me.

They're having the time of the life together? Fine! They could do whatever they want for all I care!

All I could feel now was the pain they brought me devoured by anger.

"Hey, look." Annie tapped my shoulders. "You're invited to BBC 1 Radio tomorrow night."

I took a look at her laptop.

"Alright, we'll do it." I smiled.

We don't know what questions are rooting to be asked and answered, but I'm going to go for it. I need to show them that I'm strong. I need to show them the 'me' I lost and trying to get back.

I took my phone out and dialed Will.

A sincere and a true friend who knows how to listen is exactly just what I need right now.

"Hey stranger." Will greeted. I bit my lip. I've ignored him for days because of Brad. But now, I'm coming back to him because that boy left me. I feel like I'm just using Will.

"Hi, are you home?" I asked directly.

"Yes. You?" He asked.

"Studio. Anyways, wanna go for a coffee? My treat." I try to sound enthusiastic.

"Sure. Can I just go there?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure." I smiled.

If Will wants to pick me up, then he can. I don't care if paparazzi's roaming around, I don't care about anything else anymore. Not even what Brad's going to think of me. He's doing whatever he wants and I surely get the same freedom to do what I like for myself.

After almost a half hour of waiting, Will appeared on the room. I smiled and got up to him and gave him a hug. "Hey."

I missed him, honestly. He was the only person who can give me comfort just by listening to me.

"I missed you." He whispers.

I chuckled and pulled away. "Did the paparazzi's tried to get to you?"

"No, but I probably heard a snap of a camera or two." He grins.

"You're famous now." I joked.

"Let's go?" He asks, still smiling.

"Yeah." I smiled back.

Will and I exited the building and as expected, there were paparazzi's around. When they spotted us, they went over and snapped pictures. It's not a new thing for me, and honestly, I'm getting more used to it since the issue with Brad. In my surprise, Will grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him before we snuck inside his car.

"They're crazy." I laughed.

Will started the car and chuckled. "I agree."

We drove to Starbucks with Shawn Mendes' album playing on the radio. Will tries to sing a few lines and I just look at him in awe and he blushes every time.

"Two cappuccino's please." I smiled at the cashier and she just nodded at my order.

"Let's sit down first." Will says.

I nodded at him and we find a place to seat.

"How have you been?" Will asked.

"I've been... okay." I tried to smile. Whenever somebody asks me if I'm okay, I always say that I am even though I am not. I just find it as a bad habit to lie about how I feel. I guess I got too used to it. "You?"

"It's strange..." He shook his head a little as a small smile played on his lips. "I missed you."

With that, his smile reflected mine. "You didn't."

"I did." He replies.

"No." I chuckled.

"Yes." He fought.

"No."

"Yes! Why not?"

"I just... No." I shook my head, still not dropping the grin on my face.

"I actually did. Your face, your smile, your whole presence... it's just something else." He tries to say.

"Okay." My voice seems to be like in a tone of a question. He pulls out his camera and snapped another picture of me.

"There's the lovely smile I always wanted to see." Will said as he looked at the photo he took with his camera.

"Why do you keep on doing that?" I asked, chuckling at him.

"A spontaneous smile is the truest smile." He answered me and gave the camera to me. "Just look at how beautiful you are."

I looked at the screen of the camera and saw a genuine photo of myself. He's right. Will is right.
