"KATE?!" I heard his voice from the echoes down the empty hallway.

Oh my good Lord. There he goes.

"Hi Brad." I greeted softly as soon as he come up to me.

"Hey, it's great to see you again. Wanna catch a coffee or something?" He offered. I can't say no to him. And I won't.

"Sure. But I have to go back in forty minutes, 'coz I have to record at least three to four songs." I said.

We started to walk down the hallway and inside the elevators. "Oh, for the album right? How was it going anyways?"

"Pretty good, I guess. After two to three more weeks, we'll have the recording finished. Then we'll jump to photoshoot, and everything." I told him.

"I swear to buy a copy." He said with a wide smile and his left hand raised.

"You better." I joked while pointing at him. He chuckled at me. We got off the elevator, and walked out of the building.

"Well, how was yours?" I asked him as we walked down the sidewalk. People can see us and they're cool with it. And that's what I like inside the city where the studio was.

"We'll be releasing it by the end of this year or maybe early next year. Just like old times." He answered.

"That's good, and congrats by the way." I smiled.

"Thank you. Same as you, you're about to have your first debut album." He smiled back.

"Big dreams huh?" I reacted.

"Yeah." He nodded and said.

I am Katelyn Campbell. Seventeen years of age and I'm one of Virgin EMI's signed artists, same as The Vamps. I'm friends with Brad since he knew about me because of Connor, before when we're still in London. I stayed there for my fourth year of high school. Actually, Connor and I are street neighbors, and we're really close too. And also with the rest of the band. I've been known as X Factor's UK's 2nd placer just this year. And that's how I got the contract.

"This is gonna be my treat." Brad smiled at me. "Two cappuccinos please."

"Oh my gosh, Kate Campbell! I'm such a fan. Can we take at least one photo?" A small blonde girl, age about eight or nine, walked up to me handing me her iPad.

"Sure thing, sweetie." I said and pressed camera and took us a snap or two. I kissed her cheeks too.

"Thank you!" She smiled and waved and ran back to her mom.

"Here's your order, sir." The cashier told Brad, which caught my attention. Brad took the coffees and handed one to me.

"Thanks." I muttered, enough for him to hear.

"Welcome." He said lightly.

"Let's sit there." He pointed at a table-for-two by the side of the coffee shop, which is not that crowded.

"Shall we?" I said and we started walking.

He pulled my chair and helped me in. How nice of him.

"I don't see you around usually. What's with your schedule? Is it tight?" He asked the moment he sat on his own chair.

"Not really, but I've been writing my songs at home. And I travelled in Asia. It's been a collaborator too." I explained.

"That's explains it. Well, I assume you'll be around here from now on?" He said with a hoping smile.

"I guess so." I smiled back at him.

"Oh before I forgot, it's my birthday this coming next next Thursday and I want you to be there." He said.

Of course, how can I forget your birthday? That's like, so stupid of me to forget about your birthday.

"Sure, I'll check my schedule and I'll give you a message later." I said back.

"Cool. And don't forget my gift." He joked.

"I will not." I assured him and winked.

We talked about random things, like this and that. We get along somehow because we have similarities. We both like pizzas and everything in a fast food chain.

"I've been listening to Taylor Swift's pop songs and they're really good." I told him.

"Well, I heard Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style, Wildest Dreams, New Romantics and... what's that again? How You Get The Girl, that." He said, finishing his coffee.

"How You Get The Girl was cute, I like it too." I smiled.

"We have get you back there in some minutes or Annie will assume we're on a date." Brad said to me. Annie is my manager.

Aren't we? I thought to myself. Like, there's no way he's going to take you out on a date, Kate. Just accept it.

We walked silently back to the building and he said, "I wish to see you again sometime."

"Me too. See you around." I said and walked inside the elevator to shift floors.

"Hi Annie, am I late?" I asked Annie, as soon as I entered the studio room.

"Nope, just in time." She smiled.

"Thank God." I sighed.
