Easton's Princess

Chapter 4

Easton's POV

When I could finally see clearly again I saw Trevor, Mike, and Shane, the pack warriors.

"Where is my mate?" I asked as I sat up from the couch in my office.

"James took her to the Infirmary. She hit her head hard when you fell." Shane replied.

I stood up stretching. "How long have I been like this?"

"It's seven now so about five hours." Mike said while putting a book back on the shelf.

"You are dismissed." I said.

"We aren't supposed to leave. James ordered us to make sure you stay in this room." Shane said.

Now I was mad. Why would my beta force me to stay in my office.

'James come to the office now.'

'I'll be right there.'  He replied quickly.

A couple seconds later he walked into the room.

James said to the three boys, "You guys can leave now, thank you."

After the boys left and the door was shut, I started talking. "Why did you make them stay here?"

"I needed to make sure you stayed here because Lily was already scared by you trying to mark her. We didn't need to make her even more scared. She is in the Infirmary with a concussion. She is going to be allowed to sleep in about five minutes."

"How did she get the concussion?" I asked scared.

"When we took you down she fell against the wall because of how you were holding her."

I felt ashamed of myself. I should have been able to control my wolf so to speak, but I couldn't. All he wants to do is mark her and when she kept saying that she wanted to go home he didn't like that. He thought Lilian was going to leave him when he just got her.

"I have some work to do." James opened his mouth to say something, "Don't worry I won't go see her."

I sat down at my desk and saw the stack of paperwork I had to do. Exhaling, I immediately started it. When I finished I looked at the clock to see that it was 8:30. I went downstairs and warmed up some leftovers for dinner.

When I was done I washed my hands and walked back to my room. I got ready for bed and thought about Lily. After I finished I made my way to the infirmary, I needed to see her before I go to bed.

I followed her scent and found her lying on the bed fast asleep. There was a large bruise forming by her left eyebrow. I walked up to her and smoothed her hair back.

"She fell asleep about ten minutes ago." I turned my head and saw James at the doorway.

"I thought you said she could go to sleep a couple hours ago."

"She could have fallen asleep but she couldn't. She said that she saw these scary images whenever she tried to sleep."

"Oh." I didn't like that I was probably the reason for that but all I have to blame is my wolf. He wanted to mark her.

"I can get my mate to change her and then you can bring her to your room. "James said and then a couple seconds later his mate Jordan came with clothes. I figured that would be best so that she didn't have to stay in the blood stained clothes.

"I will call you in when I am done." Jordan said while ushering us out.

We waited a couple minutes and then Jordan walked out. "She is dressed. Be careful with her please she is really tiny."

"I will. I'm not going to hurt her ever again."

Jordan dressed Lily in one of my hoodies and a pair of basketball shorts. I walked over to her, picked her up, carried her to my room, and laid her on my bed. I pulled the blanket up to her chin. I didn't want her to get cold.

I grabbed a couple more blankets and laid them out on my chair. I laid down and started thinking about Lily. She was perfect. She's a beautiful flower. I started thinking about how my wolf acted. It was unacceptable because she got hurt. I never wanted to hurt her. She's my princess. My wolf just doesn't want to lose her which is understandable but he went too far.

I fell asleep thinking of ways to make my princess warm up to me.
