Easton's Princess

Chapter 11

Lily's POV

It has been great ever since I have gotten home from the hospital. My parents took off a week from work to stay with me. I still don't know how I ended up in the hospital. They still wouldn't tell me.

The week my parents had off was coming to an end. They had to go back to work tomorrow and I also worked tomorrow. I was kind of excited because it was weird for not working that long.

"You better go to bed honey. You have a long day tomorrow. And remember, if you are starting to feel sick you can just tell your manager and come home." My dad said. I nodded. I was excited to go back to normal.

When I woke up the next morning, I was energized. I was really excited to work because I work with Evie. She is basically my adopted sister. I got ready quickly, shouted goodbye to my parents, and left. It would kind of be a long day because Evie and I had to work all day at the cafe but it was worth it.

When I pulled up to the cafe and parked my car, I had to calm myself a little bit. I was super excited. When I clocked in and went to the main part of the cafe I heard someone scream my name. Evie launched herself at me and gave me a giant hug.

"I missed you so much!" She exclaimed.

"I missed you too." I replied my smile wide.

After that was done we got to work so we didn't get in trouble. We talked a lot. It was weird not being able to see her for that long.

"It's your turn." Evie came up behind me with menus.

I jumped because I wasn't expecting that. "Ok thank you."

"Sorry for scaring you."

"It's ok, you didn't mean to." I replied. I then started walking towards the table. There were three guys and they were all good looking.

"Hello." I greeted them. They all replied back. "Can I get you guys something to drink?"

Once I got their drink order, I left and started getting the drinks. Once I was done I brought the drinks and got their order. After I was done Evie came up to me.

"Are you ok?" She asked me looking concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

Her reply was simple, "No reason."

I continued on with working, ignoring what Evie said.

It was a good day at work. By the end of the day I was tired and I still had to go grocery shopping with my mom. I walked out to my car with Evie and said goodbye. I got home and put my stuff away in my room. When I went downstairs, I found my mom.

"Are you ready?" She asked.

"I just have to get changed quickly and then I am ready."

I left and got changed into sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I put on some moccasins and went downstairs. "I'm ready now."

"Ok sweetie."

My mom grabbed her keys and we were off. We went to Target to get groceries. I was walking down the cereal aisle because my mom told me to grab some. As I was walking I wasn't paying attention and I ran into something. I stumbled a little but the person caught me. I looked up and saw a very handsome man.

"I'm so sorry." I said.

"It's alright." The man replied.

I started walking again when the man stopped me. "You are very beautiful." He complimented me.

"Thank you." I said while blushing.

"Would you like to hang out sometime?" He asked.

I thought about it for a moment. "Sure why not." I figured I could take a risk.

The guy smiled in relief to my answer. "Ok here is my number." He said while showing me his number. I quickly put him in my contacts. I gave him mine as well.

"What's your name?"

"Easton." The man replied and walked away.

After the little encounter I found my mom. We finished getting the groceries and left for home.

"How are you feeling sweetie?" My mom asked.

"I'm tired and I don't really feel good but its fine. Could we watch a movie tonight?"

"Sure. You can pick the movie. Meet me in the living room when you are ready."

"Ok." Was my simple reply and I left upstairs to get changed. I quickly changed and walked down with a blanket and the movie Ant Man. I put it in and sat on the couch next to my mom. I snuggled into her side and got comfy. About thirty minutes into the movie I got a text.

'Hey princess, this is Easton. I just wanted to know if you had an idea for the day that you want the date to be.'

I was very confused about this Easton guy. I mean he doesn't even know me and he asked me on a date. But he seems like a nice and sweet guy so why not?

I responded with 'How about Friday? I have to work in the morning so we can do it afterwards.'

I got a response almost immediately. 'Sounds good. See you then princess.'

I turned off my phone and started watching the movie again. I fell asleep about half way through the movie. I woke up to my body swaying.

"You're fine just go back to sleep." I heard my father say. I was put on my bed and the sheets pulled up to my neck. My dad smoothed my hair away from my face. "It's good to have you back Lily." My dad whispered. He kissed my forehead and I heard the door shut. I was very confused with what he meant. I'm determined to find out what happened.
