Lily's POV
It has been a week since I have been kidnapped. I mean it wasn't bad but I still wanted to go home because it wasn't my choice to be here.
Easton was locked up in his office a lot doing "important work." I'm not really complaining though because it gave me time to come up with an escape plan. I will fulfill the plan tonight.
Currently I was watching the news on TV. I didn't know where the remote was and I was too lazy to get up to change the channel. I know that sounds really bad.
"Lily Grey is still missing after a week. There are no witnesses and the only evidence there is a body imprint in the ground in the forest she lives by. Now we have a few words from her parents."
The screen went to my parents. They looked terrible. Their eyes were bloodshot from crying and lack of sleep.
My mom started first, "To the people who have her please give her back. If anyone has seen her please contact the police. She is our only child. I don't know what I would do without her. Please..." My mom cut off because she started crying.
That made me start to cry. I have never seen my parents cry before so this is breaking my heart watching.
"If the people who have her are watching I'm surprised you haven't given her back yet by how annoying she can be." That made me chuckle. No matter what my dad could always make me laugh. "Just please bring back my daughter please." My dad started crying then. He hugged my mom and then the screen cut off back to the news lady.
I zoned out after that. I just wanted to go home. My plan wouldn't work during the day so I had to come up with something quick. I went to the back door and looked outside. I didn't see anyone so I prayed to God that my plan would work.
I quickly opened and shut the door and bolted away. I just wanted to be home with my parents. When I thought I was far enough away I slowed down to walking. I being my clumsy self, fell into a river though when I did that. I have no idea how that happened.
I quickly stood up spitting the water from my mouth while coughing. I got out and started shivering from the cold wind that hit me. I just kept walking and all that did was get me lost. I am pretty sure that I passed this tree before.
I soon started to hear faint footsteps and faint voices so I ran the other way. All I needed to do was find a road and then someone could bring me home.
The sun had already set and it was close to being pitch black in the forest. Honestly I was kind of scared. 1. I was scared of the dark and 2. I should have made it to a road by now or a path. I haven't seen either of those.
Suddenly a hand grabbed me and yanked me to the ground. The man got on me and sat on my stomach.
"My boss will be happy."
I tried to shove him off me but all that resulted was a slap in the face.
"I suggest you stop that Princess." For some reason the nickname sounded terrible coming from him.
I fought against him more and that resulted in him wrapping his hand around my throat. I tried to pry his hand off but he was too strong.
"I will do worse if you keep struggling. Got it?"
I nodded my head and he released my throat. A couple minutes later I heard more footsteps approaching.
"Well done Nigel." A man said as he walked up to us. At the first glimpse you could tell that this guy was bad news. "Did the little Princess get lost? You know it's not good for you to be in the forest alone. What if the big bad wolf got you?" He started chuckling.
The man walked over and smoothed my hair down and away from my face. I started struggling again trying to move my head away, but Nigel just held me down. "Why are you trying to leave so soon? We just got here."
I finally spoke up for the first time, "What do you want from me?"
"The little Princess finally spoke and to answer your question is you."
I must have some really bad luck.
I saw one of the guys sniff the air. He made a disgusted face and said, "Boss we need to go."
"Ok. I will see you soon Princess."
He then vanished with everyone else. I got up and started running. I was shivering violently and I already knew that I was going to get a cold. I tripped for the second time today and hit my head on something cold. I quickly got up and started running again.
"Lily!" I heard someone yell.
Since it was dark now I tripped again for the third time today and rolled down a hill. When I stopped rolling my body ached all over and I started crying. I wanted to go home where I could hug my parents and sleep in my comfy bed.
I saw James come out of the trees and walk towards me.
"It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you." He said as he slowly approached me. He knelt down beside me slowly so he wouldn't scare me. "Easton is on his way. We are going to wait for him here okay?"
We sat there in silence for a little bit and then I heard the trees rustle. I immediately tensed up. Easton walked out of the trees and walked slowly toward me. When he saw my face he quickened his pace.
"Oh Princess, Why did you try to run?" He said. He crouched down and brushed the tears of my cheeks.
I slowly replied, "I saw the news."
He seemed to understand what I was talking about. He gently picked me up and started walking. I struggled to get out of his hold but he overpowered me. We made it back to the house and we went to his room. There he went into the bathroom and set me on the side of the tub.
He grabbed a washcloth and started gently scrubbing my face with it. When he was done he handed me a shirt and some shorts to change to and walked out.
Easton came to me quickly and grabbed my arm and brought me to the bed. He then put the handcuff around my ankle and walked out of the room.
I cried myself to sleep that night.
