Easton's Princess

Chapter 13

Lily's POV

Ever since our date, Easton and I have talked a lot. Today I was going over to Easton's house to hang out and have dinner. I am actually surprised at how well my parents like Easton. They thought he was super sweet. My dad even approved of him and that normally never happens.

I was getting dressed and I have no idea what to wear. I decided to go with leggings and one of Easton's flannels. It was really comfy. I put on some socks and my UGG boots. I was off.

I have been to Easton's house a couple of times before so I wasn't as shocked with how big his house was. I mean it's huge. He said he has a really big family and they all live there. It kind of makes sense to me.

When I arrived, I walked straight into the house like Easton told me to do. I really loved his house. The color scheme was amazing and everything fit together perfectly.

"Hey honey." Easton's mom Margaret greeted me.

"Hey."

"Easton is in his room. You can just go up there."

"Ok thank you." I set off for his room. His room was on the fourth level of the house which was the top level.

I knocked and went into his room. I was really surprised at how clean it was. He was kind of a neat freak but I didn't mind that.

"Hey princess." Easton greeted me.

"Hey. So what are we going to today? I asked. Every time we hang out he always has something planned for us to do.

"We are going hiking today."

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded his head. I really like going hiking. I don't know why but I just really love being outside.

He went to his closet and put some shoes on. "Are you ready?" He asked while coming out of the closet.

I nodded my head yes. I was really excited. We left the house and started walking into the peaceful forest.

I loved looking at the trees. They were so pretty and unique.

We reached a cliff. It wasn't very high but could still do some serious damage if someone fell. It was so short that some of the trees were taller than it. I had never seen anything like it before. In stories the cliffs are always high and have some amazing scenic look but not this one. I loved it.

"What do you think?" Easton turned and asked me.

"This is amazing!" I exclaimed.

Easton spread out a blanket and sat down on it. I laid down and put my head on his legs. All we did was talk. We talked about silly things. It was great. It was very relaxing.

We had been out there for a couple of hours. It was so peaceful until it was interrupted by my phone. I looked down and saw that it was my mom and I knew that I would have to take it.

"I'm so sorry but I really have to take this. I'm sorry."

"It's ok." Easton replied. "I understand."

"Hello." I answered the phone while walking away a little bit. Easton seemed to understand because he walked away a little bit as well to give me more privacy.

"Lily you need to come home right now." My mom stated right away.

"Why?"

"You just need to come. Please, your father and I will explain everything at home."

"Ok. I'll be right there. Bye." I walked back to Easton. "I'm sorry but I need to go home now. It's an emergency."

"Ok. It was about time that we would have needed to head back anyways."

"Ok. I am really sorry."

Easton gathered the blanket in his arms and we started walking back.

"Easton, could you come with me please? I have a bad feeling." I asked.

"Of course princess. I would go all over the world for you."

I looked down as I felt my cheeks get really hot. I grabbed my keys from inside and gave them to Easton. The whole way from his house to my house he held my hand. I think it was to stop me from freaking out like I was. When we got to my house I could see my parents looking out the window because they were waiting for me. That was never a good sign.

We got out of the car and walked inside. The look of relief that crossed my parents face made me very confused.

"Why don't you sit down honey?" My dad said after we closed the door.

"Ok." I replied while pulling Easton to the couch with me. "Mom, Dad what is this all about?" I asked while looking at them.

"Do you want to know the reason that you were in the hospital?" My dad said after my mom gave him a look saying that he should talk.

I nodded my head yes. I was very confused as to why they never told me before.

"What happened was you were kidnapped. Two of the guys that were involved were put in jail but they escaped. The cops think that the man is going to come back after you." My mom said.

"What!" I yelled. "How could you keep that from me?"

"We were just trying to protect you." My dad tried explaining.

"How do you think this affects me?" My parents didn't have anything to say. "That's what I thought."

With that I stormed up to my room. When I got there I jumped into my bed and face planted on to the pillows and started crying. I felt the bed dip and a hand on my back.

"It's going to be ok princess. I will protect you." Easton said while rubbing my back. Easton helped calm me down. Eventually I got tired enough so I fell asleep with Easton beside me.
