"babe, can you check the oven, please" i bit my lip hoping that this plan would work since the day has been busy and kind of shitty already. my whole family and his parents are at our new place that my parents bought us and it's a pretty big house.

"sure" he nodded his head, excusing himself and standing up. i took my phone and started recording. i walked behind him and stood behind the counter as our families walked to us.

"babe look, there's a bun in the oven" i told him and he opened it. he took the bun and looked at me. his eyes were filled with hope and happiness and i nodded. he rushed to my side and squeezed the air out of me.

i hugged him back with the same force and i felt tears well up my eyes. i pulled my face away from his shoulder and leaned against his lips. our lips collided as everyone cheered. we pulled away and i saw derek with his teary eyes.

"i love you babygirl" he smiled and kissed my forehead.

"i love you more" i said to him and kissed his lips.
