Chapter twenty nine

Michael's pov

After that night at Ashton's I never left his side, Tyler and and Josh pretty much hate me now and my popular status has gone downhill, but I honestly don't care, I made a vow to myself that I would protect Ashton no matter what, and now that day has come, a week or two after that night, our date night as finally arrived.

Calum had texted me around 20 minutes ago, asking if we could meet before then date which I had agreed to. So this is how I got here in Calum's living room "so Michael?" "So Calum?" I said back, trying to lighten up the mood from the tense one around us, he let out a chuckle and sat down beside me "I just..I want this date to go really well for you guys.." I nodded yet said nothing, I could tell there was more "and..Michael I know we have both fucked up with him but I mean, he finally has us back and I don't want want you guys have to ruin" "I get what you mean Cal" "promise me you'll treat him like a prince?" "Like the one he is, of course".

My palms began to grow sweaty as I parked outside of Ashton's house, I checked the time on my phone 7.02pm, damn it, I said I would be there at 7. Even though there was hardly any time difference I rushed to the front door and rang the doorbell, with white roses in my hand, his favorite of course.

I bit my lip as I watched the door open to reveal a cheerful yet slightly nervous looking Ashton "hey baby" I said as I passed him the roses and kissed his blushed cheeks "hi Mikey, you didn't have t-" "yes I did, they are your favorite, just like how you are my favorite" Ashton giggled and wacked my shoulder in a joke way "we haven't even gone away from the front door and your already being a romantic cutie" he said with a giggle, making me chuckle and take his spear hand into mine, watching how he locked our fingers together, making a large smile appear on my face as I lead us to my car, opening the car door for him of course "thank you peasant" "heeeey I'm not a peasant" I said back with a pout formed on my lips "forgive me" "nu uh" "please" "nope" "pretty please" "nah" and that is when I felt it, Ashton's lips pecked mine, making a coat of blush appear on my cheeks, 'forgive me?" "Always.".

The ride was pretty long, probably around just under an hour, I had to make sure that Ashton was covering his eyes for the whole time since I wanted it to be a surprise, eventually I parked the car and heard a sigh of relief from Ashton which made me chuckle, "okay you can open your eyes now babe".

I watched as eyes went from confusion into excitement once he had seen I had parked outside an amusement park "ohhhhh my god mikey!" He said and quickly got out, me following his actions close behind and took his hand into mine "Calum told me you always loved these places" he kissed my cheek and let out his beautiful giggle.

The date couldn't have gone any better, from the scary and fast rides, how I would hold onto him so tight that he wouldn't fall off, to the cute and romantic rides like the boat rides, a dirty look was given to us here and there but I made sure that ash didn't see, he deserves smiles in his direction not glares. Or how when we had food, how he seemed so uneasy and unsure but said he would for me, and he did, it wasn't a large portion but it was enough to not throw up and I couldn't be more proud.

I felt a light nudge at the side of my hip, and looked down to see the small and fragile boy I will call mine, I raised an eyebrow "weren't you listening?" I felt a small blush appear on my cheeks from embarrassment "I'm sorry, what did you say?" "I said, thank you for everything tonight" he said as we walked along the lake which was in a park across the road from the fair "anything for you" I said and kissed the top of his head and we both slowly stopped walking and sat down by the side of the lake "thank you for always being there for me Mikey..it truly means a lot" "and thank you for always being there for me too. As long as we have each other, nothing can go wrong..right?" "Right."

To finish the night off perfectly, I leant down and pressed my lips up against Ashton's.

Our first ever passionate kiss.
