The next few days had been decent between Beth and Mac. They still had their...daily dose of each other, and would sleep together at night. Beth had grown accustomed to Mac holding her at night and often times cherished him running his fingers through her long blonde hair. The action lulled her to sleep like a lullaby. Mac felt the same; he loved sleeping next to Beth at night. He adored running his finger through her soft hair, and whenever she fell asleep snuggled into his side, he couldn't shake off something weird he felt. When she was close enough to hug him, he felt butterflies flapping around inside his heart, but at the same time he felt calm and comfortable around her. She had that strange effect on him, and he couldn't explain it. But was it safe for him to feel this? He was always anxious whenever he left that the police would show up and take her away from him. He never wanted her to leave. He was getting so used to her singing around the house as she cleaned, and when she fell asleep in his arms at night, it was priceless. As much as he was reluctant to admit it, he liked her a lot. Not just like, he like liked her.

Beth felt the same; like liking him. Though she knew she didn't like like him. She, though terrified to admit it, thought she loved him. Was it crazy for her to think she loved this monster of a man? They pretty much fucked 24/7, and hadn't gone on any fancy dates. Though you didn't need fancy dates to fall in love with someone. But Mac did treat her good. Like when he went shopping for her when she was on her period. Or whenever they cuddled after sex. The action may have been small op Mac, but it meant the world to Beth. She really did love Mac. But did he love her?

A few days after their encounter that left Beth fantasizing at night, Mac was sitting in his car weighing a bag of meth in his hand. He was making his usual delivery to one of his customers. Nothing new. He got out of the car, stuffing the small bag into his pocket and checking the road. It was empty as always, the only vehicles were Mac's red truck and the meth-head's small two door brown car. Mac headed to the house and knocked twice, sticking a cigarette in his mouth. After a couple moments, the door cracked open. The stench of multiple drugs flooded out of the house, as well as the smell of cat urine.

"Wh-who's there?" A paranoid, scratchy voice demanded.

"The fuckin' pizza guy. Who the hell do ya think?" Mac demanded, pushing his way into the smelly home. The inside was as horrible as the smell. The carpet that was once a cream color had multiple stains on it, the wallpaper was peeling away, smoke had filled the air and it was so thick he could see the smoke, and garbage was littering the place. Hell it was worse than Mac's before Beth came around. "Shit man. Ya ever clean?"

"Wh-whateva'. D-do y-y-ya have th-the shit or wh-what?" The stringy man demanded, itching a black scab on his arm. A fat woman who was lounging on half of the couch grunted, taking a puff of a cigarette.

"Depends. Do ya have the cash?" Mac grunted, turning to glare at the man.

"Y-yeah. N-now give m-me my sh-sh-shit." The stick man growled.

Mac pulled out the small packet of the white crystals. Simultaneously, the stick man reached into his back pocket, eyeing Mac. "The sh-shit f-f-first. Then th-the money."

But Mac shook his head. "Ya know that ain't how I work."

The stick man glared at Mac, eyeing him suspiciously. Then he pulled out a rolled up wad of cash. Mac took it and counted it. Only 400 dollars! That wasn't worth half of the meth he was carrying! Mac shrugged and took out a smaller baggie, emptying a bit of the contents of the bigger bag into the smaller one. Then he handed the small baggie to the meth head.

"What th-the h-hell? I p-pa-paid go-goo-good money for th-that! I n-need m-more th-than this!" The man demanded, looking shocked at what Mac had given him.
