The One That Got Away

Chapter 35

"Hi..." I respond.

"How are you?" Anne asks.

"Good..." I say walking down the rest of the steps slowly.

Gemma smiles at me and I smile back.

Why are they here? I sound harsh or something but realistically, why are they here?

"Arianna I forgot to tell you, Gemma and Anne are joining us for dinner tonight." My mom smiles.

"Oh ok. " I put on a half smile.

"Uh I'll be back. " I say and walk upstairs.

"Who was it?" Emily asks

"Anne and Gemma..they are having dinner who us tonight." I respond.

"Holy crap. " She mumbles.

"Yeah...can you please stay? Pleasee?" I beg.

"What why?" she seems confused.

"Because....pleasee?" I beg again.

"Fine " she murmurs.

I jump up and down before telling her I'm going downstairs to tell my mom.

"Hey mom can Emily stay tonight?" I ask.

"Yeah sure. " My mom smiles.

"Thank you. " I say and call Emily downstairs.

She hops down the stairs before joining me on the couch.

"Dinner is ready!" my mom yells for Daniella, Brooke, Cody and Connor to hear from the basement.

I hear footsteps then the door to the basement opening.

"Food!" Cody yells and then shuts up noticing that Anne and Gemma are at the table.

The rest of dinner is spent talking and laughing and mostly just catching up.

When Anne asks me how I've been with the whole Harry situation I just say that I'm fine and sink down into my seat.

"Happy Birthday!" everyone yells and jumps up.

I smile and go hug everyone thanking them as I do so.

When it's time for gifts, I open up most of them and Savannah hands me her gift. It's in an envelope and I can see she's anxious for me to open it.

"Open it later " she tells me.

"Ok..." I say and put it to the side.

When most of the people leave, it's mostly just me, Savannah, Emily, Gemma, Cody, Connor ,Austin and my mom left.

"Open my gift now. " Savannah smiles.

I take the envelope from the table I put it on and rip it open.

When I look inside, I see three tickets and three...i couldn't make out what they were. I take them out as I notice what they are.

"Wow. " I say.

"Awesome right?!" Savannah almost yells.

"Yeah..." I mumble.

"Theres' soemthing else" Savannah tells me and I take out the paper-like things with a string attached.
