The One That Got Away

Chapter 9

Ariannas POV:

I shook Gemmas hand and gave her a smile. "Nice to meet you." I said.

"So are you staying for dinner? "Anna asked me

"Um I dont know...let me text my mom". I replied.

I walked away and went into the living room and called my mom. After three rings she picked up. "Hey Arianna. Everything ok?" She asked.

""Ya everythings fine. Um are you gonna be home later?" I asked. "Um no sorry im working late tonight." She said.

"Oh ok. Im having dinner at a friends so I'll be home later". I said

"Which friend?" She asked.

I would have to tell her sooner or later. I'll just tell  her now.

"Arianna? Arianna? You still there?" She was asking

"Ya sorry. Harry." I said

"Harry? Is he your boyfriend?" She asked

"No no mom. Hes a friend". I said." Oh ok. See you later honey." She said

I hung up and walked to where everyone was gathered. "So, are you staying? "Anne asked me.

"Ya." I simply replied

When Anne and Gemma walked to the kitchen, I had the courage to ask Harry what I had been meaning to ask him.

"Harry, what are we?" I asked nervous for his response.

"What do you mean? "He asked. "Wait, lets go outside" he said with a smirk.

"Ok...." I said. He grabbed my hand and brought me to the side of his house.

"Ok, what I meant was like are we friends, or are we dating?" I asked

He didnt answer just pulled me to his backyard that had a heart out of flower petals.

"What is th- "I was cut off by him asking me a question.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He said with a nervous smile.

"Yes." I said and with that, he pulled me and kissed me. I was shocked at first but kissed back.

"Kids! Dinner is ready! "Anne yelled. We pulled away and me and Harry couldnt keep stupid smiles off our faces.

We walked inside and went to the table. Anne had made pasta, salad, and chicken. Me and Harry sat at next to eachother with Anna and Gemma across from us.

At dinner we talked about me and my parents and where me and Harry stand and when Harry said I was his girlfriend we both couldnt help but blush.

Harry dropped me off about 10 minutes ago and I was tired so I went up to my room and changed into my pajamas and layed down.

All I was thinking about was that me and Harry were now dating. I couldnt help but smile until I finally fell asleep.
