Dumbledore pulled Harry forward after he had regained consciousness. I watched from the side as cameras flashed in his face. He was deeply distracted by something. He slowly turned his head to where I was, and begun to lean my direction attempting to approach me, but Dumbledore held his arm around him. He mouthed my name, but under all the noise I could only read his lips. Multiple reporters noticed and pulled me into the pictures. I couldn't see anything but white flashes as I stood closely to Harry. I looked up at him sadly to see his battered face. I knew what was going on in his mind. It was the same thing in mine. I could hear Bellatrix shouting joyously and laughing. I killed Sirius Black! Ha ha ha! And the minister He's back! And Voldemort shouting Eauughh!!! And then By which time I shall be gone - and you shall be dead. I began to sway where I was standing, and gripped Harry's sleeve for support. Harry looked unstable. He looked sorrowfully from the ground and into my eyes. His twinkled with desperateness and looked light a light had gone out of him until they met mine hopefully. He continued to watch me as I looked to Dumbledore.
"We need to leave Professor," I said. I doubt my words were heard by Harry with all the echoing inside his head but Dumbledore seemed to understand and took Harry's right arm. I had to stay strong for Harry because right now he couldn't. I was too numb to be crying anyways. Cameras flashed on our way out as we pushed through the crowds.
"Your name is Evanora Crypton if i'm correct--- is it true that you're dating the famous Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived?" A woman with a camera asked not three feet away. I blocked the bright flash with my hand.
"Venus Evanora Black." Multiple reporters gasped and snapped pictures of me. Harry breathed normally. He wasn't phased. I felt amazingly awful. Sirius didn't deserve to die without it being known that it was for his beloved daughter and his godson. No matter how many people think that he was a criminal, nobody can deny his heroic actions before death.
I pulled a piece of broken tile out of my shoulder and kept walking just as one of the last camera men got a snapshot in action as I turned back around confidently, my hair and skin visibly showing the roughness of the battle on my body. Everyone but my friends from the Order were staring at me.
"Miss. . .Black, you are aware of the consequences of the decision you have just made," he said, looking at me dangerously.
"Fully aware, Professor. Regardless of how many people think he is a criminal, they cannot deny the plain fact that he fought loyally as father and godfather not long ago. He deserves at least that if he is not cleared of his charges," I said. He nodded understandably, but continued watching me cautiously as if I was about to break. I felt as if I was about to break. I looked toward the group of my friends. Hermione took a deep breath, nervous of my decision, but understanding my desire. Ron nodded bravely while standing tall. He looked like he supported my decision confidently. Neville looked the same. He understood fully what it was like. Luna watched me curiously. Ginny was thinking more about the battle than taking interest in what I had done, it seemed. A growing heat filled my body. His death was sinking in at last. I suddenly lost my composure as I let the pain infiltrate me. It felt like I was burning inside out. My life sucks My life sucks My life sucks. The pain in my scrapes and wounds were barely noticeable compared to the anger boiling inside me. All I could hear was a loud ringing in my ear paired with echoes of Bellatrix laughing, memories of Sirius, Harry screaming. I let go of Harry before I could tear him to pieces in my burning rage. It was his fault. Voldemort's fault. My fault. We shouldn't have come. I was clutching my fists so hard it took me a moment to realize I was digging my nails into the flesh of my hands. I was trembling. I didn't care that everyone was watching me. I didn't care about living. I wanted to smash every single flashing camera, light, tile, face around me. I spotted a tile on the ground and kicked it with my right foot with all my might and it flew across the room and crashed into pieces against the wall.
