Harry opened the door unsure of what to expect was on the other side.

In front of him stood a witch roughly the same height as Hermoine. She was wearing a white tank top under a grey cardigan and jeggings.

Her chocolate-colored straight hair laid about two inches below the top of her shoulders and was angled upward. The shortest piece of her hair lay on the left side of her face and curved slightly inward just below her jaw. Her naturally long lashes bobbed up with her lid when the door opened.

"Harry!" she said in delight. "When did you get here?!"

"Just now, actually," he said awkwardly. They paused for a moment, not really knowing what to do next.

"I didn't think you were coming until wednesday," she said, still suprised.

"Uh, yeah. . . Me neither." he said sighing and rubbing the back of his head

Evanora's face dropped from delightedly suprised to emotionless. "Oh Merlin, what happened?" she asked.

"My aunt came and... Insulted my dad-- I-- Accidentally blew her up," he finally finished, meeting her eyes at the end of his sentence to find that her eyes had widened in shock. He had noticed before how interesting her slate gray eyes were close up.

Harry came downstairs that morning to have found Evanora acquainted with Hermoine already.

"He's absolutely gorgeous!" Evanora said whilst stroking the cat in Hermoine's arm.

"That's what I thought! The lady at the animal shop said he'd been there for ages. Nobody wanted him!"

While Hermoine and Evanora were bonding over Crookshanks, Ron seemed to think much differently about him. "Well, you can see why! Your bloody cat almost murdered Scabbers!"

"He doesn't know what he's doing is wrong. He's just acting on his instincts," Hermoine said in defense.

Backing her up, Evanora said "Besides, there are a lot of pets around here that would want to eat Scabbers. Dogs, owls... I even heard one of the new professors had a hippogriff."

Before anyone had a chance to say something, Evanora saw Harry walking downstairs. The two words
"Morning, Harry" were enough to excite Ron and Hermoine out of their argument.

"HARRY!" They shouted in unison.

In general, the first term of the semester went pretty well. One person I really didn't like was Professor Snape. He never bothered me but he was creepy as hell. He almost poisoned a student's toad once because Neville made his potion wrong. He was probably the cruelest person I had met before. Anyways, Hogwarts was more than amazing. At dinnertime, the ceiling looked just like the night sky. I was also particularly fond of watching quidditch games. Speaking of which, Harry was an amazing player. He would zoom like a fly on his broom. One game, however, I missed, yet it was still my least favorite match of the year. This is how it went down....
