Riley's POV:
I got home as quickly as possible. I quickly showered. Put on a PINK shirt, leggings. and my moccasins. I quickly finished packing before hearing a buzz.
L:"It's Lucas."
R:"Be down in a second."
I quickly turned all the lights off and locked up the apartment before heading down to meet up with Lucas.
R: " Hey, ready to spend part of the holidays with the Matthews?"
L: "As ready as I'll ever be."
Lucas and I were spending time with my family till December 24th and then me and him were heading off to Texas. Somehow we had orchestrated this whole ordeal. We really didn't like being apart for that long, so if we hadn't. Tonight would be the last time I see him till January 5th. We headed on the road and I texted my mom we had just left. I'm excited. but nervous at the same time. It takes us a couple of hours to get there with stopping for food and traffic. We park in the drive way and see my dad and mom come out.
C: Glad you guys made it safe. Hurry get in side, so we can finally eat.
R: Dad it's midnight. You guys didn't eat?
C: Well, everyone else did. I was waiting for you guys.
R: Umm, we already ate because it was getting so late. Mom texted me and said to grab something.
C: TOPANGA!
T: Well. You don't always listen or tell me your plan.
C: Not true.
Lucas and I were laughing right now because my parents were acting like children. We decided to go inside instead of waiting them to quit which may take forever. We were trying to be quiet as possible, and then I saw my grandma sitting at the kitchen table.
G: RILEY!!
R: GRAMS! Why are not asleep?
G: Well, I wanted to wait up for you. And this must be Lucas!
R: Yes, this is Lucas
L: Nice to meet you, ma'am
G: Well, you two must be exhausted. Let's get you settled in.
R: Umm.... so what are we or umm
G: Honey, it's fine. I trust you, so you two will be sharing a room.
Lucas and I shared a relieved look and headed up to the guest room. After we got ready we almost immediately fell asleep.
