Falling Into You

Chapter 2

Alex left an hour ago to visit his sister. We aren't talking very much right now, and it's really upsetting me.
My phone started ringing, it's Alex. "Hello?"
"Cèline, hey I'm staying the night at my sister's house tonight"
"Oh, okay"
"I'm sorry, some family came down that I haven't seen in awhile so I'm gonna just stay here for the night"
"It's alright, I understand. Have fun"
"Thanks"
"I love you"
"I love you too. Bye" I held the phone in my hands, what do I do now? The phone rang again.
"Hello?"
"Hi Cèline its Rene" "Oh Rene, hi!"
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go to dinner tonight, Alex too"
"Well, Alex is visiting family so he won't be able to make it, but I'm free"
"Great, I'll pick you up at 8:00"
"Okay see you then" my heart started beating fast. Me and Rene alone at dinner? I wonder what Alex would say. I pushed the thought away and went to get ready, it's 6:00 now. I showered, and got dressed then did my hair and makeup.
Rene knocked on my door at 7:30, he was early. I opened the door. "Rene, hi" I say as I give him a hug.
"Hello"
"You're early"
"I know, but the restaurant is about a 30 minute drive and we have reservations at 8:10"
"Oh okay, well I'm ready if you want o go now?"
"Yes of course lets go"

We sat down at our table. "Wow, this place is beautiful"
"I know, it's my favourite, they have great food as well" a waiter came by and took our orders, he was dressed in a very fancy uniform. Everything here was very elegant and classy. No wonder Rene chose it.
"You look beautiful Cèline" Rene said, making me blush.
"Thank you" we talked more until the waiter brought our food.
"This looks really good" I said as the waiter put down my plate.
"It tastes even better" Rene said with a smile.

After we ate dinner, Rene payed and we left the restaurant. We sat in his car. "So where did you say Alex was?"
"He's visiting family"
"When will he be back"
"Tomorrow afternoon"
"Oh, well I hope he has fun"
"When he called he sounded like he was having a good time"
"That's good"
"Yeah, I guess"
"Are you okay Celine? You seem kind of sad?"
"Yes I'm fine, you know just stressed with the new album and stuff that's all"
"Alright,so where do you want to go?"
"I don't know. Where do you want to go?"
"We could go back to my apartment? And just hang out and talk if you want?"
"Sure that sounds like fun"
