Falling Into You

Chapter 31

"I don't think I'll ever get over finally being able to hold you in my arms" Rene says and kisses my forehead.
"I'm just happy we can finally be together"
"Me too"
"I've wanted this for so long, you and I. I just, I don't know, I guess it took me a while to realize it"
"Well you've realized it now, that's all that matters" he kisses me
"I know but I just can't help but think of what it would have been like if we had been together all those years I was with Alex. He and I were together for 3 years, those were 3 years I could've been spending loving you"
"We have the rest of our lives to spend loving each other" he says and kisses me slowly.
I lay my head on his shoulder and cuddle closer to him. He holds me tight. I want to stay like this forever. We both soon fall asleep.

Morning...
"Céline, honey it's time to wake up you have soundcheck" Rene says as he kisses my shoulder, slowly making his way up to my cheek.
"Do I have to go to soundcheck?" I whine, not wanting to get out of bed.
"Well considering you're the performer for this concert I'd say yes you have to go to soundcheck" I groan as he says that "But the good news is, soundcheck is earlier today so we have more time before the actual concert. So while everyone is out sightseeing you can come back to the hotel and sleep" he laughs a little and continues kissing me all over.
"Sounds like a plan"
"Good it's a plan for me too, I'm exhausted" I laugh a little and turn to face him.
"Oh yeah! Almost forgot!" He says before turning to the bedside table and turning back towards me with a cup of coffee "Coffee because I had a good feeling you wouldn't want to get up this morning"
"You're an angel" I say and kiss him before taking the coffee from him.

After we drink our coffees and talk for a bit we decide to get ready head to soundcheck.

"Céline, good morning" Elise says winking a little.
"Good morning Elise, what are you winking about?" I laugh a little at her.
"Oh nothing, nothing"
"Oh really, it's nothing? Because I have a feeling it's about my love life"
"Okay maybe it is" she smiles big causing me to laugh "I'm just so happy for you, I always had a feeling you'd get together eventually, you're soulmates" she says and I can't help but smile, Soulmate, I like the sound of that.
"So when are you two going to tell everyone?"
"Well I was thinking tonight, on stage, but don't tell Rene! I want it to be a surprise"
"Aw this is going to be amazing! What song are you going to do it at?"
"The Colour Of My Love"
"Girl you got me excited now! I can't wait to see this! I'm so happy for you" she hugs me.
"Thank you Elise" I smile at her and then we start soundcheck.

Concert...
"So before I sing this next song I would like to talk to you for a minute, is that alright?" I say and the crowd cheers. "Alright! You guys are amazing, I love this city. Okay so let me just say it. I'm in love" the crowd cheers I can tell they're happy for me! "Rene, for so many years I've kept our special dream locked away inside my heart... but now it's getting too powerful to keep this inside of me... so after all these years, let me "paint the truth, show how I feel, try to make you completely real"... Rene, you're the colour of my love" the spotlight focuses on him and I see him smile at me as the music starts playing, I blow him a kiss before I start singing.

I'll paint my mood in shades of blue
Paint my soul to be with you
I'll sketch your lips in shaded tones
Draw your mouth to my own
I'll draw your arms around my waist
Then all doubt I shall erase
I'll paint the rain that softly lands on your wind blown hair
I'll trace a hand to wipe out your tears

I'll paint the truth
Show how I feel
Try to make you completely real
I'll use a brush so light and fine
To draw you close and make you mine

I look behind me and see Elise giving me a thumbs up and smiling. I smile continue singing as I look at Rene who's smiling. I love this man so much, and I'm glad everyone knows now.
