Falling Into You

Chapter 7

"Céline can you help me out?" Alex said pointing to his tie. He can never tie them himself. I tied his tie for him, and straightened his jacket.
"You look good!" I said with a smile
"Thanks, I hate these things I can't every figure them out" he said as he adjusted his tie
"I just have to put on my dress and then we can go"
"Alright, what dress are you wearing tonight"
"I went shopping and I bought this new one" I said running to my closet to get it
"Why did you buy a new dress you already have a closet full of dresses!"
"I know but I like to shop, and I saw this dress and I couldn't pass it up!" I put on the dress and looked in the mirror. It's such a beautiful dress. It's a fitted black dress, very simple, but very flattering. I picked out my shoes and grabbed my purse. I have myself a quick look in the mirror and then walked out to show Alex.
"What do you think?"
"Wow, you look great. That dress looks so good on you" he said as he grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him.
"Thank you, but come on we're going to be late let's go!" I said grabbing his hand pulling him out of the room.

We arrived to the restaurant and walked inside to meet everyone there.
Tony greeted us "Céline you look stunning as usual"
"Thank you Tony. Where should we sit"
"Um, Céline you sit there and Alex you can sit across from her" he pointed to an empty seat, and I sat down. Alex sat across from me and smiled, I smiled back and looked around. Where is Rene? He isn't here yet, that's not like him, he's usually on time for everything.
"So Céline we are going to record Feliz Navidad soon so make sure you let your family know so they can join us" Tony said to me taking me out of my thoughts
"Okay, I'll let them know" Alex and one of the writers for the album started talking. They became friends when we started recording the album, his name is Dave.
After a few minutes pass Rene comes in the restaurant.
"I am so so sorry I am late. I got held up in traffic" he said taking off his coat
"Oh that's alright, you're here now!"
"Yes, uh where should I sit"
"There's an empty seat next to Céline" I watched Rene as he looked at Alex. Alex looked at him then looked at me. He didn't look very happy. I squeezed his hand and smiled at him. He smiled back, but he still seemed upset.
Rene sat down beside me. He turned to me and smiled and then looked at Alex.
"Hi Alex how are you tonight?"
"I'm good thanks, how are you?"
"I'm good... Did you watch the game last night?" Rene said trying to relieve the tension
"Yeah I watched it. The ref made some awful calls"
"Yeah I agree with you on that"
"But it all worked out in the end. It was a little bit frustrating" Alex seemed to let lose a little bit, he didn't seem as cranky.
A waiter came by and asked us what we wanted to order. We all ordered our food, and then he asked what we wanted for a drink. We ordered and he went away.
We all talked for a bit, and Rene waited until Alex was distracted, to talk to me. He didn't want Alex to get mad.
"You look beautiful by the way"
"Oh, thank you"
"How's Alex doing?"
"He's good, he kind of seemed a little cranky when you walked in, but I think he's fine now"
"Yeah he looks like it"
The waiter came by with our drinks he gave me and Rene our drinks. We both ordered a glass of wine.
"Well this brings back some memories" Rene said as he took a sip
"That it does" I smiled at that.
"Céline, Alex here is telling me you want to go on tour soon"
"Well, I've been thinking about it. I mean I want to start out small just a few concerts or something"
"I'm sure we can arrange something. There usually a Christmas special on during the holidays, so we could get you on one of those"
"Okay that'd be great"
"Or we could even try to get you your own special?"
"Well that would be fun. Alex doesn't that sound fun"
"Yeah it sounds great"
"You can come up and sing with me" the table laughed "What song do you prefer?"
"You know I think we could do The Prayer" I laughed "Nah, I'm just kidding. I can't sing at all"
"Oh trust me I know" I laughed at him "Also I have to use the bathroom so if you'll excuse me, I'll be right back" Alex said as he got up from the table. He kissed my cheek as he went by.
Rene got up as well "If you'll excuse me, I have to use the bathroom as well" I watched as Rene walked away.
I took a sip of wine and looked around the restaurant. Alex came back as I stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm just going to fix up my makeup, I'll be right back" he nodded and gave a small smile.
I walked away from the table and walked to the bathroom.
I walked down the hall and ran into someone... It was Rene, he grabbed my arm so I wouldn't fall down.
"Oh gosh I'm so sorry Céline I didn't see you there. Are you alright?" He said still holding me.
"It's ok, I'm fine" I looked into his eyes, and he smiled at me.
"Uh, well. I'll see you at the table" he said as he slowly let go of me.
"Wait" I said reaching for his hand. He held my hand and looked at me. He touched my face, and kissed me. My stomach filled with butterflies.
I know this is wrong but it feels so right.
He pulled away "I'm sorry"
"No shh, don't apologize. I was hoping you would do that"
"Okay, good... Um well I'll be at the table then"
"Okay I'll be there in a minute. Wait... Rene hang on a minute"
"What's wrong?" I took my finger and wiped his lips, my lipstick had come off onto his lips.
"My lipstick. I didn't want you to go back to the table wearing my lipstick" he laughed
"Thanks" he walked down the hall and I walked into the bathroom.
I looked in the mirror and reapplied my lipstick.
I smiled at the thought of Rene. I know it was wrong to kiss him especially when Alex was in the same building. But something about Rene makes me so happy. He gives me butterflies whenever I'm with him. I've never felt like that with Alex.
I'm falling for Rene.
