Falling Into You

Chapter 11

We pulled into the driveway. I'm so excited to be home I want to know the surprise!
I unlock the door and let Rene and I in.
"Alright we're home now, can you tell me what the surprise is?"
"Hmm, how about I tell you after dinner"
"But that's going to take a while to make"
"So start cooking"
"Fine, but you have to promise you'll tell me after dinner"
"I promise"
"Pinky Swear?" I stuck out my pinky and so did Rene
"Pinky Swear"
"Good. Is spaghetti okay with you?"
"My favourite"
"Mine too, well actually any kind of pasta is my favourite" I put some water in a pot and put it on the stove to start boiling.
"Wine?" I ask Rene
"Yes please!"
"Coming right up" I pulled down two wine glasses and pour Red wine into both. I hand a glass to Rene.
"Thank you"
"Now that I got you wine, will you tell me?"
"No after dinner I told you!"
"Fine, I'll wait. Come one let's go sit"
We both went and sat on the couch and talked for a bit.

Once dinner was ready I sat down at the table with Rene.
"This is fantastic"
"Thank you"
"You should come over and cook me dinner every night" Rene said making me laugh
We finished our dinner and now it was finally time for Rene to tell me what the big news is!
"Okay we've eaten, we've had some wine. Now what is the big news?!"
"Okay, so you know how you released Let's Talk About Love earlier this year?"
"Yes"
"Well I've been talking with the rest of the team and we've decided that we are going to do a world tour!"
"A world tour! Really?!"
"Yes what do you think?"
"I think that's a great idea! But didn't we just do a world tour for Falling Into You?"
"Yeah but the fans loved Let's Talk About Love so we think they would love a tour with it"
"I think that's an amazing idea"
"Really?"
"Yes" I got up from the table and went to give Rene a hug. I hugged him and he picked me up off the ground a little bit. "Wow, a tour! This is so cool! I love touring!"
"I know you do!"
I was still hugging him, he still had his arms around me. I looked into his eyes and without thinking, leaned in and kissed him. I pulled away. His face looked shocked.
"I don't know why I did that, I know we said we were just having dinner as friends. But I just-" he kissed me back, cutting off what I was about to say. I wrapped my arms around his neck, as his hands slipped onto my waist. My stomach is filled with a thousand butterflies, I can't believe we're kissing... Again. I didn't expect this to happen tonight, I thought we were together as friends tonight. I guess not. I don't mind though.
He pulled away. "Céline we shouldn't be doing this"
"I know we shouldn't
"As much as I want to continue this, it's not right and we both know it"
"I know, it's just I get so carried away. I would never do this, I would never cheat. This isn't me, who am I?"
"Céline, this is all my fault. I told you I had feelings for you and I kissed you. I should've kept my feelings to myself"
"No don't blame yourself. I wouldn't have kissed you if I didn't want to"
"Why don't we go and sit on the couch"
"That seems safe" we go and sit on the couch, we talk for a bit about random things.
"So this tour, when does it start?"
"We are thinking we are going to start preparing for the tour around November 2nd. How's that?"
"Sounds good to me"
"We have the whole set list made up"
"Wow you really got this under control"
"Well we assumed you'd want to do this tour. We know how much you like to tour"
"Well you though right"
"So you just have to tell us anything that you want put into the tour. Any songs you want added, anything that has to do with the look of the stage, anything you want"
"Sounds good to me"
"Well I better head home. Thanks for having me over. Dinner was fantastic"
"Thank you, I'll call you sometime soon, okay?"
"Okay, looking forward to it"
"It will probably be late"
"I'll keep the phone near my bed"
"Good"
"Thanks again for having me over. I had a great time"
"I'm glad"
"I'll see you soon" he kissed my cheek and opened the door.
"Definitely... Bye Rene"
"Bye Céline" he closed the door behind him.
I went over to the window and watched as his car pulled out of the driveway. A part of me wishes he had stayed the night, but I know we wouldn't be able to stay away from each other. I decided to go to bed, I have to get up tomorrow and go to Alex's parents house. Alex hired a driver for tomorrow to drive me to his parents house, so I don't have to worry about driving myself. I've only been to his parents house once or twice, and Alex drove both times, so I don't know how to get there.
I got into bed. I replayed Rene and I's kiss over and over again in my head, until I finally fell asleep...
