Not Too Lame

Aurora's POV:

Brendon: Meet me at Claire's XOXO

I furrowed my eyebrows before shrugging and grabbing a few things I needed. They included mainly my purse and phone. I was thankful I already got ready so it was easier for me to just leave the house, after grabbing my keys.

"What could this man want at Claire's?", I asked myself, started the car and beginning my drive to the children's store.

He's so unpredictable it's scary.

As soon as I arrived there, I slowly inched away from my car and to the door. Seriously, what was I getting myself in to?

I creaked the door open to reveal what the store would normally look like, with an addition of Brendon, smiling greedily at me.

"Hey, baby.", he nearly shouted, approaching me.

"Hi, Bren.", I said softer.

Brendon grabbed my hand and lead me further into the store. As we walked, I looked around at all of the different kinds of jewelry and other little trinkets they had out for the kids.

"Why are we here?", I ask.

He shuffles a bit before stopping in his pass and turning to mirror me.

"Well, I know how you never really got to save anything from your childhood, and before your dad died, he gave you a necklace with a tree and an owl on it. You said it was from Claire's, but that didn't matter to you. Then you never got it back. I took you here to pick one, maybe not the same one your dad gave you, but another one to represent our relationship and our love. Something that's beauty and elegance doesn't distract from the meaning it holds. That's why I took you here. I hope it doesn't sound too lame..."

I stifle a tear that threatened to roll down my cheek as I have Brendon possibly the most passionate hug I've ever given. What he did was so unbelievably thoughtful.

"Thank you so much, Brendon. That's so sweet of you. I-I love you.", I stutter out.

He smiles at my words.

The first time I said 'I love you'.

"You know what?"

"I love you, too."

We break apart from the hug and look into each others eyes.

"Now, let's get ourself a high quality Claire's necklace."
