Aurora's POV:"Brendon I swear to god if you don't get down here right now I will break all your Sinatra records and burn them in the fire place!", I shout from the mudroom of our house.
"Hey, hey, hey. Let's be rational.", Brendon replies, zipping up his black sweatshirt as he joins me in front of the door.
"So your definition of rational is being late for meeting Josh Dun?", I retort, crossing my arms and impatiently waiting for him to put his shoes on.
"No, it's just my definition of rational does not include destroying any Sinatra records.", Brendon reasoned.
I shrugged as I pulled out my phone to check the time, once again. "Brendon! It's almost 9:00! We have to go!", I exclaimed, shoving my phone back into my purse and dragging Brendon out of the house.
I held his right wrist as I pulled him through the doorway, shutting the door behind him and locking it, too.
Brendon was hobbling on one foot, the other reaching in the air to connect with his hand as he tied the laces. In the middle of our driveway.
We live in insanity.
"Who's driving?", Brendon asked, setting his foot down and pausing in front of the car.
"Could you?", I say sweetly.
"Oh, how could I say no to that face?", he jokes, sitting in the front seat as I hop in the passenger.
We both pull out doors closed and buckle up before Brendon started the car and I put in my Vessel CD, placing my hands in my lap, afterwards.
He rolls his eyes at my choice of music.
"We are going to see the drummer of this band, after all.", I defend.
He nods, smiling at me.
This wasn't my first concert, but it was one of the few I have gone to. Yeah, I'm big on music, but my love of it didn't pay for concert tickets.
And neither would my mom.
I actually was able to go to a Fall Out Boy concert when I was fourteen, and a Blink-82 one when I was fifteen, but that's all. They were lawn seats, anyway.
Well, this wasn't exactly a normal concert.
Since Brendon is doing the music shanagans and such, he's in touch with band people like this. Plus, he's kind-of-friends with Josh.
Before a concert that he surprised me with tickets for, he arranged for me to get to meet Josh. Tyler had vocal things to work on and address, but Josh was all set to meet me.
So, that's where we're headed, now.
"What time do we have to be there, again?", Brendon asks, popping my overly-large bubble of thoughts.
"9:30.", I respond.
He made that noise that people make by breathing in with your teeth closed.
"Huh?", I ask, nervously. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted the answer.
"The meet-up we planned is after or before the concert?", Brendon asks.
"Before.", I say, softly.
"Ha.... ha ha.", he laughs in fear.
"Brendon! I swear to god if we're late because of you...", I trail off.
