3.The Future Alpha

Chapter 3

The future Alpha

Sierra's POV

I hurled around and came in contact with Alpha Peter's only son. The future alpha - Jake.

Jake was a six two brunet guy with piercing blue eyes. He like most werewolves was built of muscle, but he was stronger since he was an Alpha not only from his father's side but also his mothers'. Alpha Peter's mate Luna Evie was the only child of the Alpha of the neighboring pack and Jake was set to take it up in the future.

My eyes shamelessly trailed down his bare torso and looked up to meet his eyes. He smirked up at me.

"Like what you see?" he asked. My throat suddenly became dry.

I pushed him against the wall. My body pressing up against his naked chest. His hands on my waist on instinct. I felt him harden through his jeans and my nipples perked up. He growled feeling my body's reaction to him,through my very thin black dress.

"Very." I whispered my eyes fuzzy, answering his previous question.

He growled again as I kissed him, pulling his hair as we both fumbled into his bedroom, tripping over our feet as we made our way up the stairs still breathlessly making out with each other. He tasted like green mint, his favourite toothpaste and I was pretty sure I still tasted like gin.

In a matter of seconds the door to his suite was locked, clothes were spewed around the bedroom down the hall and Jake was on top of me in the bed, our moans filling the room.

I woke up to an annoying buzzing noise.

"Ugh." I groaned and felt Jake grumble from under me.

I opened my eyes and noticed I was in Jake's room, his hand on my waist. Our naked bodies tangled together. It was a position we had woken up many times in before.

"That's your phone." He said shoving me lightly, his face buried in the pillow.

"Ugh." I groaned and wrapped the grey sheets around me and stumbled to my jacket and checked my pockets to see Xavier calling me. My eyes widened.

I looked over at Jake and saw his back turned against me.

"I'll call you later." I muttered into the phone and hung up and quickly turned off my phone.

"Who was that?" Jake muttered waking up and rubbing his eyes.

"I'm gonna take a shower okay?" I said avoiding his question and running into his bathroom.

I couldn't and didn't want to lie to Jake a guy I knew my whole life. Jake was Alpha Peter's and Luna Evie's only child, the future Alpha. He went for the Alpha training camp for a year and we hooked up when he returned. We didn't know each other too much before that. He was a year older than me and my brother's best friend. It was only natural for Alphas and Betas being best friends.

I was 15 and drunk and after I woke up hungover and having lost my virginity to my brother's best friend. Me and Jake had stared at each other in complete horror and scrambled out of bed. We had an agreement that neither of us would ever talk about the night ever again.

He slept around with other humans and I avoided him as much as I could. He was in the same grade as me. So that made it incredibly hard.

Jake was a year older than me. He was Aaron's age, but he missed a year when he went for Alpha training. Most future Alpha's usually spend every summer for about 8 years in Alpha training, but Jake was the heir for 2 packs, so he spent 8 summers for his mother's pack and a year for our pack on Alpha training.

Alpha training is basically sending the future Alpha to the consul. The consul has 16 members.

An elder wolf representing each of the 12 packs and an elder witch/warlock from each of the 3 covens. No one beside the consul knew who the 16th seat was for.

An elder wolf was someone who was born mateless. They had vast knowledge about things and certain talents like visions from the past and the future. Each pack sometime would have a young wolf born with red fur. The bright red fur indicated that he would represent the pack in the future. At 18 he would be sent to live with the consul in the institute, where he would be trained. I didn't know the criteria to become an elder witch/ warlock. They were very secretive.

It was a good thing that there were only 15 active members in the consul. It was easier to make decisions with odd numbers when it came down to a vote.

Alpha training consisted of the member of the consul representing that pack taught the future Alpha, not only how to fight but history of ancestry, enemies and alliances and other top secret things that an Alpha shared only with his mate and the Alpha family protected those secrets until their last breaths. Some of the necessary secrets were shared with the Beta family but mostly the beta.

So Jake came back after a year and he was no longer the immature kid that hung around with my big brother. He looked more mature and was incredibly charming. So the first night he arrived at his welcoming back party he had captured my attention along with the rest of the pack. But the morning after left us both with nothing but regret. And when we started high school I quickly joined the cheerleading team and made human friends and Jake slept around with other humans who were a grade older than us but closer to his age. And despite my indifference to him, it bothered me that I was nothing but a one night stand like the rest of the human girls.

My 16th birthday (which was 5 months after I lost my virginity to Jake) was a big fancy affair. My parents threw the party in one of the posh and lavish hotels in town and almost all the eligible bachelors from the werewolf community were present in the hopes that one of them might be my mate.

Unfortunately none of the males in attendance were my soul mate. After 4 hours of being introduced to various bachelor werewolves and not able to spend my sweet 16 with my human best friends I had been grumpy and in a foul mood when I snuck out of my own party and met the future high warlock of The Koráki coven. Xavier Evans.
