(These hacks only work with MacBooks, as far as I know.)
I am the proud part time owner of a cute little 11 inch macbook air. Its features include; a super thin keypad and screen, fast working and adjustable finger pad, and nifty hidden stuff!!
The first thing Im going to talk about today are the small keys at the top labeled "F1 thru F12." They're a very helpful addition to a computer, and offer something similar to the iPad, where you swipe with all fingers and you can close a page.
HACKS--
If you click F3 it will open all of the pages you have open, so you can see whats going on. It allows quick changing from document to article or vice a versa.
If you click F4 you get a layout of all the applications on your computer. Its just a fast way of switching from say, email to safari.
Finger Pad Hacks--
If you swipe up with three fingers you get the same effect as clicking the F3 button, but its faster and more efficient. (Swipe back down to close the window.)
When you are reading a document, two fingers allow the scrolling up and down, and side to side.
If you're typing a paper, and you have to keep clicking in and out of documents, it gets quite irritating. So, a hack for that would be to go to the upper left hand corner and hold the green button until one side turns blue, then drag that document to that side, and open the article in the other.
Thats all I know for now, hopefully as IOS 10 comes out I can make a new chapter and offer new tips/tricks for y'all.
